he's probably the favorite for ACC DPOY and the among the favorites for the Butkus But yeah, year 6, lost 2 to injury
Wake had 68 yards to start the 4th quarter. They finally got a TD to make it 24-6 and went for 2, which got picked and returned all the way for a pick 2. Wake scored a 4 point TD
BC's not a shitty team. we're just improving each week (mostly). if Drones is the QB from week 1, this is a 9-3 or maybe even 10-2 team imo.
The top of the ACC right now is Noles Cards Pack Hokies Like everyone expected it would be 4 weeks ago.
mack saved this program from the fedora era but if he doesn’t quit this year, we’ll be right back there
it is the gift every old coach offers. Bowden did it, Beamer did it, and Mack will do it if you let him, which you probably will.
were you not talking about an old coach who hangs on too long and undoes the good he did in prior years?
Yesterday was another banner day in ACC officiating. I don’t even know which game my timeline is bitching about because so many of them have baffling decisions being made left and right. UNC/Duke alone had like 5 calls or no calls that seemed incredibly incompetent and changed the game.
I think the replay officials may have gotten all 4 replay calls in the FSU/Miami game wrong and only 2 of them were really even debatable, the other two were easy, straightforward things they still fucked up.
Then they ghosted the commentators after they said they come by and explain on-air lol Just fuckin awful.....at least there are a few other teams, miami being one, that get dicked on a weekly basis
no way it woulda been overturned but no idea how they didn’t look at least the fumble that was ruled a pass even tho said pass went backwards was insane too
I wouldn’t have been surprised at all if they reviewed it and didn’t do anything. I can’t explain why they stood over the pile for a minute to make a call, saw the Duke corner come out of the scrum with the ball, ruled it a UNC completion, and didn’t review it.
State/Wake was awful. We lost a “fumble” after our RB gets stopped and lays on a pile for 2-3 seconds, rolls off onto the ground, a Wake guy then punches it out and they recover it. Call on the field is a fumble and the review lets it stand.
it’s ineligible if any part of his body is over three yards downfield. But at least it’s close here (not that any official was looking for it)
that is fair but the idea that it was egregious because he ended up in the end zone is absurd. refs were bad enough as is
Hopefully if Mack does decide to do the honorable thing, UNC doesn’t screw it up the way Miami did after Richt decided to give them a free out.
It was so annoying that because everyone was so focused on calling Mario a dipshit for not kneeling (which he was) there was no backlash for the refs and replay blowing that call or the ACC supporting the decision.
favorite part of this sequence is that the CW was showing the clear angle proving he was down right as the ref is saying “play stands as called.” exquisite timing really
UNC defense has given up 80 points and 900 yards in the 4th quarter during the last four conference games 3 of those against woefully undermanned offenses #WordsOfChizdom
That and the ref standing over the play yelling at the wake player as he ran away with the ball, because he also thought the play was dead.
In a season of hilariously bad calls against the Canes, that one will remain the absolute worst. It wasn't close and they let it stand, then defended it after the fact. Oh and the ref was a GT fan.
I'd say no shot for us if it weren't for Hampton, next two weeks will be interesting with the defenses coming up
