Mack started getting those 4 and 5 star DL a couple years ago and I wondered if he’d be able to actually turn around UNC’s defensive mentality with the talent infusion. He was not able to do that. Imagine if Murphy, Shaw, Silver, Evans and Ritzie had come to a real defense instead of wasting away .
They shortened the window this year (from 60 to 45 days) so it’ll be interesting to see how that impacts things. Should largely be done by CFP time.

So we had arguably the best defense in the conference and had a 1st and 3rd teamer. That makes sense.
Our linebacker play was awful. The worst in modern VT history. We had one get HM. I don’t think the TSL writer put him on his ballot.
Vann lost votes because he’s a “DE” even tho he’s a 3-3-5 DL and played DT a lot. DE is a crowded field. Id think Ayden White definitely deserved better too.
