Sabalenka has taken a noticeable step forward from a mental standpoint. Much more under control, calm in big moments, just letting the power play. Hoping she gets it done Saturday.
Overall just a horrible major. I still enjoyed it, but as far as power rankings go, this isn’t high on the list.
None of the three set matches were even especially interesting. They were all like 6-3, 1-6, 6-2. So yeah it went to third sets but they were still mostly easy sets
Men’s side most fun to watch for me were Korda. (When healthy), Lehecka, and Nishioka (when not completely breaking down). Paul vs Davidovich-Fokina was also a good one
Learner Tien into the Aussie Open Boys Final. Took a set off Kecmanovic at the US Open last year after winning the USTA 18’s Natty while being only 16. Will head back home and play for Southern Cal this spring.
I mean I agree but they were on the far side of the court and never showed a replay so I didn't want to exaggerate
Probably just having a sook that daddy had to take a stupidity-imposed holiday. Don't get excited, it won't last.
I hope all the Greeks in Melbourne come out for the final and give this guy heaps. Because that would be a LOT of Greeks.
If you bet against Djokovic just remember that he plays games. He will exert the minimum amount of effort and energy possible in a lot of cases. I hate him, but it’s honestly one thing I do admire about him.
Was talking to a friend who doesn’t bet tennis. Told him I’d prob take o13.5 aces tonight if I had to take something pre. Of course I waited and now it’s up to 14.5 :/
