I honestly don’t understand how this is a conversation. They weren’t dating, she wouldn’t leave Roy for him when he told her he loved her but she’s just going to up and move to NYC when he asks her out?
Taking an exec level job in NYC would have been a pretty significant springboard to much better things than continuing to be a salesman in Scranton.
He wanted out of Scranton because of Pam (running away from his feelings) not because he wanted to be working at corporate for a job he already hated. and remember this quote early on from Ryan “Jim has worked at the same place for five years. Jim eats the same ham and cheese sandwich every day for lunch. I don't know, if I were a betting man, I'd say he will have a fun weekend in Philadelphia.” Jim is not a NY person.
Then once again he backed down and stayed. Then all of the sudden she forced his hand by selling their house behind his back. They do a complete 180 with 10 minutes left in the series. He ran from Scranton in season 3 because he couldn’t deal with Pam. He wouldn’t ever leave voluntarily.
Never picked up on Dwight’s second guess Michael: Karen Filip… [In Italian voice] Ka-ren Fili-pell-li. Dwight: Probably Italian. Possibly Filipino.
Just want to say Toby’s reaction when Andy gropes his wiener is absolutely incredible. Out loud chortle every single time
Yeah, his seems like it’s going to be a real informative series. The office ladies is like a bad morning zoo radio show now with all their trackers and forced catchphrases. I’ll still listen til they get bored and quit around season 4, though.
Brian’s pod is way better, but I still look forward to office ladies just because I love the office. They’re getting great guests pretty much every week now
Office ladies is a top 15 show. They are not going anywhere and I will still listen because of what Gus said. But their pod is making a ton of money. But I am enjoying Brian’s a lot more. Much more my style.
Wish there was an episodic recap show for Parks, too. In bed with Nick and Megan is alright, but not exactly what I’m looking for
Pawnee Public Radio. Haven’t listened yet, but it has one episode out. https://robhasawebsite.com/pawnee-public-radio-parks-and-rec-pilot/
Today was the first time I noticed in the Gossip episode that when Michael goes out to stop Stanley in the parking lot, he quotes the tag line from the Real World. "It's time to stop being polite and get real! Stanley, you having an affair?"
It is. Excited for the episode about infusing with new characters. Like Andy. And expanding roles for Craig Robinson.
The oral history podcast isn’t showing up on my podcast feeds. Just checked Spotify and saw them all there.
yea, only the first episode is posted on the overcast app. didn't know they were only doing it on spotify
I’m trying to watch spaceforce and Steve Carrell is just way overdoing it. It’s like Michael Scott does Batman and it’s not working for me.
Reading the Oral History of The Office book. It’s the little things that crack me up. There’s a discussion on improv and how 99% of the show is scripted but they’d do three or four takes of lines as they were written, then they’d improv and put their own spin on them. And every now and then those improv takes would get edited into the show. That’s how Nate’s line about needing his resume back from Dwight because his mothers chili recipe was on the back made it into the show. He improv’d it.
