An old Ukrainian coworker swore by this place. He brought me a cooler full of uncooked sausage and it was the best I’ve ever had. I don’t know what it was, but the flavors were so distinct and robust without being overpowering.
It's remarkable how terrible the newly designed Airport pick and drop off are. They literally lit a billion dollars on fire for an over head cover. Idk how the fuck they expect people to pick up and drop.off when they mark off the lanes and don't allow anyone to get to the curb. Everything just becomes a massive traffic jam
Where are some options for my dad and I to eat lunch/dinner/have a few drinks today ahead of the game? We’re staying at the Candler downtown We were bored and drove over to that outdoor mall area in midtown last night and ate at some taco joint. It was solid. Can’t remember the name.
If you’re looking for walking distance and close to stadium, then probably Park Bar is your best bet. Really good bar food and relatively cheap drinks. Not much else great around there. If you want to drive a couple minutes (or don’t mind a longer walk) Cypress St., Bon Ton, or The Lawrence would be good for lunch. Or if you want authentic ATL experience, pick Magic City, JR Crickets or Howell Mill Waffle House.
To add to this, Torched Hop, 3 Taverns Imaginarium, and Wild Leap are breweries in the general vicinity, with Wild Leap being the closest (and literally just opening).
Speaking of Torched Hop, it’s going to move after this year or next I think because the lease is up. Not sure where yet, heard from a friend that knew them at Auburn.
We went to Wild Leap. Honestly, that was great. There was absolutely nothing else over there so the place wasn’t super packed and we were able to actually sit down and enjoy ourselves.
Anyone have any insight on membership costs/wait times for young professional at any of the in town country clubs?
If anyone was considering eating at Pollo Primo on Moreland, today would be a good day to give it a try.
Is Porter Beer Bar ever coming back? They’ve way overshot the timeline they gave for being closed for renovations and I haven’t heard anything else.
Wife and I were discussing this just last week. Couldn't find anything online other than that they were closed for renovations.
Patton's in Peachtree Corners, Tucker Meat Market, Oakhurt Market, and Oak Grove Market. 100% agree on Spotted Trotter's big head
Went to this place yesterday for the first time. It was delicious. It's kind of like a Mexican Nando's. Loved it.
Anyone been to chase concert club at State Farm Arena? Going with work and didn’t know what to expect in this “club” while watching the Hawks.
yea its not the best views for bball but open bar/food. Cool hightop seating. My second favorite area behind social club (other than courtside obviously).
I would have done players club for kids bc they can see em walk in tunnel, do media, and lotta tvs in there. Concert a bit more corporate feel, obviously meant for music. That said, of course they will have fun. The video boards are great and hawks do a lot of interactives during timeouts.
My cousin called me and said there were tornadoes touching down, but I don't see anything about this, can anyone confirm or deny?
Looks like NWS canceled the tornado warning for Fulton and DeKalb around 15:55 and changed it to a severe thunderstorm warning. There was another potential tornado in the East Point area and one near Hartsfield-Jackson.
Sadly, starting to feel like it. I should have clarified that he said they were touching down in College Park, like within city limits. Are they happening here in ATL?
im in EAV and power is going in/out and cell towers were out for a minute its ominous but seems like its going over lakewood and federal prison
Y’all stay safe up there. Already one tornado touch down north of us around West Point/la grange. Storm is just now starting to roll through our area.
Thank God Elon took over Twitter. It’s days like this where I need to see people I follow’s likes from 20 hours ago instead of up-to-date weather information. It helps take my mind off the severe weather at hand.
and today i can see how worried i actually should have been yesterday by seeing the real time weather alerts, but not in real time.
Best pre-dinner drink spot in west midtown? Dinner at Cooks & Soldiers and was thinking about trying Little Trouble but open to other suggestions.
Maybe Aziza or Marcel? Not sure if they have reservations for the bar. Cooks & Soliders is my pre dinner drink spot over there otherwise
