Clinched the series today against the best record in baseball, hopefully the recent line up changes and Kluber coming back will get us rolling.
It looks like our pitching and hitting are finally getting going and Edwin finally remembered he's a good hitter. Will probably lose 7 out of our next 10.
hoping they've turned a corner. hitting with RISP was terrible again today tho even though edwin bailed them out. Still, hitting has been a lot better recently. ramirez has been awesome. bit worried about the long term health of the pitching staff. tomlin has been awful and bauer has been below average, today not withstanding. hopefully salazar gets his shit together because carrasco seems to be finding his early season form and kluber always flips the switch in the second half also really like bradley zimmer
Haven't Bauer's last few outings been pretty good. Would like to see them acquire a quality starter before the deadline.
idk, haven't been paying super close attention between work stuff and the finals tbh. just know he hasn't had a great year. reminds me a bit of justin masterson. really good stuff and occasionally throws some great outings together where it looks like he's turning a corner, and then he goes out and walks 7 batters and gives up 9 runs in 3 innings. fine with him as the fourth or fifth guy, but it's less than ideal if he's one of the top 3 starters. salazar was cy young quality in the first half last year. hope he can rediscover that at some point, but he just seems snakebit health-wise. think they should definitely be in the market for another starter.
I've heard Johnny Cueto is available, I have no idea what the price would be but I'd call SF for sure.
Salazar, Carrasco, and Kluber will be fine. Bauer is what he is...a decent, inconsistent starter that is mentally weak. Fine with him at 4 or 5. I don't think we have a solid #5. Tomlin just can't afford to be anything less than his absolute best each time on the mound. I still think we need a Catcher that can hit. I'd be fine parting with Roberto Perez. I'd love to see Mejia brought up, but I think he's still one year away. Our hitting is fine. EE, Brantley, Kip, Santana, Zimmer, Lonnie, Frankie, and Jose...that's is a fucking solid hitting ball club and I'd put them up against anyone.
He's not that much better than Tomlin...Clevinger is the best shot we have at a youngin' bumping Tomlin from the rotation.
i want to throw josh tomlin from a helicopter onto the blades of another helicopter hovering directly beneath it.
