Each episode is one hour of a 15 hour ER shift. Noah Wylie is main doc. No crazy Grey’s Anatomy shit, or insane House type cases. Gun shots, heart attacks, ODs. First three episodes are out. Fourth episode is tonight at 9. i think it’s pretty good
Maybe a little ER Easter egg there when he’s talking about his mentor and a Hawaiian grief/loss reference.
I love it also the chick in the glasses is actually Bryan Cranston’s daughter so another decent nepo baby
Seen all 4 eps. Pretty good show with the pacing of the old classic ER, but it seems to be more relationship based than ER in terms of the medicine. They have drawn pretty clear lines about who likes who and who doesn't like who. Makes it interesting when the medicine does come in to play ...
Really like this show. Pretty intense and like the hyper realistic nature of the show vs miracle science and shit like you find on other medical shows
I really liked this show up until this episode. It did everything that it avoided previously. Doctor taking law into their own hands, mystery diagnosis, then the doctor helping with an abortion having a miscarriage at work
They’ve pretty much foreshadowed the miscarriage throughout the whole season imo but Santos got to go and now she’s trying to sabotage the sebastian stan lookalike doc smh
We’re back. That was a hard to watch but great episode Really thought after the last episode this was headed in a greys anatomy direction so what is going on with that chick and her “boss”? Some cult or something? They’re hiding some sort of sexual abuse. And the boss is pregnant
The way they have handled the OD storyline is one of the best in tv I’ve seen in a long time. show is really incredible. Noah Wyle is fantastic
So, before I had kids people always told me that after you have kids things hit you different. I always thought it was bullshit. but man, when those parent got told about the potassium… and then the little sister (I have two little girls)… holy fuck. It’s not bullshit.
Wow. Max needs to put their marketing power and get this thing a big audience and some Emmy buzz. It's so good.
Very very good show, Noah Wyle does a great job of underplaying the guy in charge. Plenty of foreshadowing that he is going to have an absolute meltdown over Adamson before the end of the season ...
Agreed. That episode fucked me up a bit. They said that girl was 6...my daughter is 6 and her brother is 3.5 which seemed similar to the age gap on the show. Brutal.
Didn't post about it last week but the "organ procurement facility" the allude to at the end to the last episode is one of the biggest whiffs in a show that has been pretty realistic overall.
Dr. Langdon is such a chode. Good to see his vastly superior colleague put him in his place. Dr. Robby And props to the blonde lady for how she handled the shit show in the waiting room.
yeah but fuck Santos tho hopefully that douche has a fatal heart attack on the sidewalk after punching Dana
haha, Santos and angry big dude are both great actors. Lot of talent on the show. The nerdy female doc is great too ...
Langdon is both good and bad. Probably the most compelling character on the show, other than ankle monitor doc ...
You know, you're right. She's kind of a one note character. The only thing compelling about her is the story of how and why she's got the ankle monitor, which is coming ...
The "problem" is they have made most of these characters interesting and some more so than others so you get screen time on some and others get left behind. Its a big cast so having even 4-5 that are well developed so far is great. Even Cranston's daughter is really interesting and gets some of the least screen time.
my guess is he gets arrested and they tell him he has some incurable disease like bad cancer or something
I think it's gonna be some acute situation while he's coming into police custody that prevents him from getting medical treatment and kills him ...
Now that I think about it, they haven’t shown anything outside the ER. He’s going to resist and we see him back in the ER after arrest and he dies
Very much disagree on Langdon. He's by far the best of the bunch (outside of Robby) and can shit all over Santos
I don’t like Santos and she’s easily the worst character. Langdon’s smugginess annoys me but he does seem to be a really good doctor. Robby is in his own elite tier….great doctor, great communication, leads by example, not an asshole.
Snoozer of an episode right up until the very end. Everyone in this show is really bad at not giving in to their intrusive thoughts.
that might be one of the more realistic components of the show. Mix the relative social ineptitude of most physicians with hubris, wavering confidence that comes with making sometimes immediate life or death decisions and chronic high stress… lots of impulsive, opinionated loud mouths
