Anybody read these? It's a three part epic fantasy series of which two trilogies have been written - The Prince of Nothing and The Aspect-Emperor. I'm on book one of the second triology. Started reading it after reading every single Malazan book. I've been quite pleased with the writing style, world building, characters, and amount of violence/sex.
I'll put it on my list, but I think I might be done starting series that haven't been finished already.
The first trilogy was a pretty self-contained story. The second triology continues it, but it's 20 years later. The risk is nowhere near Kingkiller and GoT where we are all stuck in the middle of the story.
Yea, those two have given me some sort of "Battered Reader Syndrome" when it comes to starting a new series.
The Unholy Consult was just released, which concluded The Aspect-Emperor series and is book #7 overall. Going to start this one after I wrap up Shadow Games (part of The Black Company books).
