Been looking forward to this one for awhile, first one had the right idea, but I didn't like the combat at all so didn't make it through the whole thing. Kinda wish I had powered through as I have heard nothing bad about it. Guess they fixed a lot that was wrong with the first one and this one should be a great bridge until Skyrim. I think this game won a couple "Best RPG of E3 2010" awards and it looks interesting, but isnt a Day one buy. Possibly in the summer drought, but I agree that it will be a good bridge till Skyrim
I am not sleeping on it. I have been following it for a long time. I just don't have a PC that can handle it. I pray that it makes the jump to consoles since that will most likely be the only way I will get to play it.
I have a totally rigged PC right now, high end graphics card and and power supply I have actually been worried may cause a fire on an old Acer motherboard at 2.3 ... scared to download it. Going to wait until Thursday to see how other machines are holding up, heard it's a beast though similar to Crysis 2. First review on meta is in at 95. God damnit, sitting at the checkout screen right now all nervous about to click.
Having an issue with gameplay and nvidia drivers so far. Not good for a small company release, they are saying that the beta drivers are working better, but might want to wait a week or two on this one.
Damn this game is amazing, and looks amazing. Got everything on max (minus ubersampling) and I'm getting 60-70 fps. (2 x GTX580s) Looks like it is locked to DX9 right now. Hopefully they'll release a DX11 patch? At any rate, buy this damn game
Company that makes the game has announced they have a big announcement for console gamers at E3 involving something in the Witcher universe. Unless they have a completely separate game in development I can only assume it's a port.
Okay, I have read that as well. I thought maybe you had read something that I have not seen. I know the ESRB leaked a rating for Witcher 2 on Xbox.
Playing through the first Witcher now and shit it is long. Downloaded the second Witcher on my comp but the fps wasn't really playable. The first game is pretty amazing besides a few gripes with combat and such. So long though, on the fourth chapter out of 5 after like a week. Have my parts for my new comp here, so whenever I build it in a few days I can pick up with Witcher 2. The graphics, physics, and hopefully improved combat looks cool. I hope it has more freedom similar to an assassins game though, hate in the first one where I get blocked by invisible walls all over the place.
Shit, just beat the first Witcher and it was truly one of the best games I've played. Fighting somewhat lacked, so I look forward to starting the second later this week. Game had to be in the top handful in the last decade, can't believe how little it was talked about. The depth and storyline of it was just ridiculous.
It was confirmed today that the Witcher 2 will be coming to Xbox 360. They are targeting a end of the year release. Read it on IGN
