I knew better than to play when servers came back up. Was up 4-0 going to 9th, gave up a 2 run HR and then a solo shot to cut it to 4-3. Went to sub in Hader to face his lefty, my game crashed and it gave me the L. Actually gave the L to my opener that hadn't pitched since the first inning.
99 vida, posada out as BR rewards. Supposedly the 3rd is Griffey. SDS putting out most of the usual suspects at 99Ovr already in set 1 makes me curious if/how many of these guys will have 97-99s in multiple sets. Definitely would think that they would at least use a different card type for each like a 99 Awards for one set and a Milestone/Finest for subsequent cards. hopefully their plan isn’t to do most of these guys in like 4 different sets that’d be kinda lame grinding for the same players with slight 99 variations each season
I'm terrible with Julio. I was terrible with him last year, too. No idea why but I just can't hit with him. Griffey will be a welcomed addition.
They have to fix the ground rule doubles. So damn frustrating to have a 90+ speed guy on 1st, hit a missed to the gap, and know it's going to bounce over the wall. It happens so rarely irl but it's so predictable on here. Had it happen twice last game and cost me the damn game.
Regular or the WBC one? The WBC one has been my best hitter by a decent margin and I have 99 Trout and Ohtani. Curious to see if Tatis is back and what he's priced at.

That's how I feel about Conquest. And the stupid missions. Chev has a point the other day. The game used to be some offline grind to get good players to play online. Now the WS program takes a few hours to complete. The WS reward isn't shit now. It's way more of an offline grind game now. It was like that to a degree last year too. BR cards were way better than ranked. And this year it's BR and packs. The best cards are the packs and that costs a lot. That said, the gap between the best lineup in the game and a lineup of nothing but WBC and TA cards isn't huge.
But now that you ask, it I try to move my DH slow in the order, I have to take him out, move the DH, then sub him back in. When I just move it with him in that slot, it gives me an error about him pitching or something.
I need Posada asap. Only batter I don't like at all is Salvy. And idk how long McGwire will stay in my lineup. Not a fan of his swing. May go back to Lou soon.
Woo boy just had one of those games. He k'd 16 times, I k'd 5 times. I was 1 for 4 on perfect perfect swings, one being an inning ending double play with 2 men on. Meanwhile he had a 2 run early HR and a 2 run very early HR. He had zero perfect swings. Haven't really had any super lopsided rng games but this one sucked hard.
And man once you get over 700 or so in ranked, everyone has Chipper. I really need to do TA, I know that would be enough to get him for me. Idk if I'd go Chipper or Pedro though. I just despise the offline grind.
Up 1 in the 8th, 2 outs, this whiff by p4 Trout leads to 3 runs and I lose. It was my level 800 game too.
To make it worse, the guy was a bunt cheeser. Twice he had Turner on 1b, went to steal 2nd with him so my 2b went to cover 2nd, and he bunted to 2b and there's a massive hole there. 1b didn't even try to get there. Ball rolled into RF and Turner took 3b. Second time I even played bunt defense and it didn't help at all. He'd definitely done it before so I guess it's a thing this year.
Really depends on what you want to do. I use him and like him a lot but he's worth like 3 quality players so up to you and what you have/need.
