    Also, I don’t want my posts to get misconstrued that I’m taking anything away from these athletes. They train their asses off, sacrifice a ton, eat right constantly, sleep a lot, and do everything they need to do. PEDs only play a small part.

    I had to do the roll it down to my stomach, onto my hips, and sit up move on Monday. Covid has taught me a new skill

    Tia was an Olympic weightlifter and training to be on the bobsled team at the Winter Olympics. She at least has to try to get away with it(if she’s using)

    Zach Telander has a good YouTube on it where he talks with a pretty prominent CrossFitter about it. Think Ian Daniel started this rage when he posted about knowing a ton of athletes that used peptides and how testing was a joke and CrossFit deleted his comment

    Exactly. And why the FUCK do we not want to see the biggest lifts possible?!?

    we don’t ban caffeine, Advil, opiates, etc and those are major PEDs.

    If Lasha was a power lifter, what do you think his numbers would be

    I say 450-470 squat with wraps
    430-450 deadlift
    Maybe only like 250 for bench, still likely 2nd biggest total ever

    I’m not saying she’s a user, just that I physically cringe every time I watch Brooke Wells move. At minimum her being a relatively high level CFer with that poor of mechanics is a testament to the body’s resiliency

    No idea what I did but have a lovely dark red ring completely around my armpit area. Didn’t have a pop or anything so hopefully it’s just some bruising and back to normal soon.

    A little more than usual but area is typically a hot spot for soreness. Keep lacrosse balls around to roll out the area.

    I think he could definitely be close to a 500 wrapped squat. Deadlift I have no clue. It’s tough for super heavies to get

    Had 8 sets of front squat triples at 80% 1RM to start my workout yesterday, followed by 5 sets of 5 push presses building weight, then sets of weighted planks

    I'm glad I work from home now because I cannot fucking move today

    Swimming/nutrition question…
    My son is 13 and is a swimmer. He’s almost 5’8” and can’t break 100 pounds because he swims about 15-20 hours per week.

    Does anyone have a vanilla ice cream protein flavor recommendation?
    Are there any issues with him having a shake or two per day to keep his weight up (at his age)? Any thing to stay away from?
    Before or after practice?

    Potential new space for 2nd gym and dedicated YouTube Studio/office. 960 square feet. Fully conditioned with a bathroom. 1 mile from my house. Space is brand new and has never been occupied. Current gym is 540 square feet. I’d keep that of course and basically build a new one.

    Before I say what I’m about to say I want to qualify it with I’m not a pediatrician.

    to my knowledge adding in a protein shake doesn’t have any deleterious effects on a growing child. Whey is a product that comes from milk so it should more or less be like drinking milk.

    In terms of flavor I’ll recommend Optimum Nutrition. It’s one of the gold standard brands in the supplement world. Just be careful what brand you buy because some brands just straight up lie on their nutrition label.

    as for timing, probably best to do after practice so he doesn’t get an upset stomach drinking it then doing a vigorous activity. He’ll probably be fine before, but no real benefit to doing it before.

    That was me when I was that age. So hard to gain weight with a metabolism like that. Your son is probably tougher than I was but I’d give him something he enjoys, the before/after school swimming combo is tough enough on its own. Gatorade protein shakes are pretty tasty and give him all the carbs.

    Anyone in here that had Covid what was your approach to getting back exercising and workout out? Had it last week and tried a light run today and it did not go very well. Biggest issue is some lingering GI issues have my nutrition really messed up

    Lower volume and load by like 50% or so. You’ll be surprised how quickly your strength and work capacity comes back. Don’t dig yourself in a hole you can’t crawl out of

    It’s not terrible if dressed properly, but my hands will likely go numb after a few sets

    Can hardly walk today after squats and leg day yesterday. Dry January and getting more serious about working out. Will also require me to finally schedule the labrum repair surgery or I'll never be able to get fully back into the gym.

    Anyone have a good push/pull/leg routine they like? Just trying to get back on track during dry January. Today's push was:
    incline bench
    OHP
    DB bench
    DB shoulder press
    chest Flys (used cables)
    side lat raises
    push downs
    tri extensions

    3 sets each exercise

    anything to add/change?

    Those are all bread and butter movements. Only thing you’d need to change is your tolerance to volume. See how all that feels and if you can progress that and then adjust from there

    i tested positive on the 30th, but haven't had any symptoms. i have worked out every day, but one since then. I was very worried about some cardiovascular issues, but didn't seem to suffer any.
