I’m hoping just the latter. From all accounts they’re good dudes so it would be disappointing if they had some legal issues
I said I was going to stop deadlifting. I guess I lied. I started deadlifting again. I'm up to like 135#. 3 months out from back strain it seems OK-ish
Which one of you is this?
I have so many questions
he hit the smelling salts for leg extensions.
Laughed out loud when he turns around and his whole ass crack is out
I couldn’t tell if those were smelling salts or he was like just wiping his nose
the double knee braces too. just unreal
Calf is still not 100 but in going to Mexico Tuesday so I needed to go for it.
655 eludes me. Tried twice. Should have went with 645.
week off after screwing my back up. frustrating, hopefully back at it sometime this week
Had some for triceps extensions too.
Loved the 8 videos for one movement. Primal scream before each one too
Glad you are enjoying my content
I've been just inundated with Rich Piana (RIP) memes on my IG feed lately. They're incredible, man I miss that guy
Yea I’ve weirdly seen his face a lot more. Did something happen? Did he come back from the dead?
If Jesus loved us he'd give us Rich back
Take Joel Seedman instead
its always bench problems but i have found my back is tender after benching. recently started just doing only Larsen press and my back feels fine after a month.
for over 12 years i did dumbbell pressing weekly with my feet up and no barbell work ever. anyways, i guess i’m a weirdo Larsen only guy.
i have a bulging disc and that spot on my back will be stiff and feeling pinching. the worst days for my back are always the morning after benching.
i have tried to flatten my back and out my feet down but still feel more comfortable feet up.
also after two years i have realized my bench will stand up like this and take up less space.
Yesterday was the most disgusting I’ve felt in years. Not really alcohol, just a disturbing amount of fried food and cheese I ate during the SB
Today my pressing felt as well as it ever has, my life is peaks and valleys
Haven't lifted in almost a year and a couple weeks. Dog's death hit hard. Was on 4 day split of some kind. Looking to get a good foundation down before I hop into things again. Thinking SL or SS?
Sorry about your dog. 5/3/1 is a fine starter/intermediate program
Sorry about your dog man. I’d do 5/3/1 with like 85% of the maxes you used last time. Just ease back into it. I wouldn’t do BBB out of the gate. If you do maybe the first 2 weeks do only part of the volume. Instead of 5x10 after the main work do 3x10 week 1, 4x10 week 2 then you’re good to go
gotta warm up
Thor getting big again, doing powerlifting this year then back to strongman.
Tied all time deadlift PR tonight at 535 on a shit load of fatigue and with no plans on even deadlifting today. Original plan was a pressing day, then decided to do zerchers after seated press, then got mad because I pussied out at just 315 on zerchers so moved to deads and pure anger got the lift up.
Not sure I'm even making sense, earned my bourbon and pizza tonight as far as I'm concerned.
Started at 60/40 power building/power lifting program today. Timed rest periods. Pray for my heart and lungs.
Only a 1010 total for Haack today proving he’s somewhat human. Seemed to overshoot bench by a few kilos(way longer press command than he ever gets) and lost position then grip on deads which I’ve never seen from him
Denise Herber was pretty damn impressive
I KNEW IT!!!
Random observation, but it’s interesting to me that when some of these elite sumo pullers do conventional style their form is more technically proficient than most powerlifters that only pull conventional.
Kabuki bar ruined everything
This is another reason the “sUmO iS cHeAtInG” argument is so incredibly dumb.
we don’t usually do this in here but having joined the 40+ crowd i’m pretty proud of it.
wish the abs were ab’n like this when i was a young man.
From one 40+ to another...
Go fuck yourself.
What pre-pubescent waist size is that Peter Pan? A 24? Grow up.
kidding man. That’s phenomenal for any age must less 40+
i still have to wear 32-34 because i'm short and blocky. :/
On a PPL split and the last few weeks have been hell on pull day.
Feeling a lot of pain near my elbow/forearm area. Maybe tendinitis?
Any tips or suggestions (other than rest) ?
Without seeing technique, program design, etc it’s hard to say exactly, but likely tendinitis/tendinopathy. Look at see if it’s one exercise, total volume, etc. you can likely work around it and find lifts/diff angles that you can train at little to no pain
flexbar + tyler twists have been the only thing that helped my elbow/wrist pain.
I deal with tennis elbow issues. Here’s a Twitter thread with a ton of helpful info on tendinitis/tendonopathy and the current thoughts about how to deal with it:
im really not sure what is going on anymore.
People will die for IG clout
im getting a coach. turned 40. need someone to control the nonsensical randomness i call 'training' goal is to bench 4 and pull 7. im getting either the rogue dl bar or kabucki. and i might buy the rogue buffalo or duffalo. i want to vary the benching im going to be doing. in another month ill have my garage cleared out enough that i can start using it.
Plae flooring is in production, delivery late March.
Love their stuff. Know some people who work there, but unfortunately no discounts for me.
What all did you get?
Two rolls of 18mm gray Achieve.
