I've heard this show is good. What season did they start remaking it-I know its been around since the 70s.
The BBC version with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May is quality TV. It started in 2002 and I think they stopped making it just a few years ago. Matt Leblanc has taken over a US version that is not nearly as good.
They stopped making the Clarkson, Hammond, and May one about 2 years ago, after Clarkson was sacked for punching a producer. It's now 2 episodes in to the new UK version with Matt LeBlanc and Chris Evans as hosts. Reviews haven't been great so far. The one everyone likes is the Clarkson ones - especially the 'specials' which have run for the last few years. The American special was one of the best.
The "specials" were always the last two episodes of a season and would have the guys on a road trip across whichever country the producers decided. They are great episode, but honestly, I like the ones where they have to build shit more. Because those guys are just hilarious. However, the patagonia special is great because they basically got chased out of Argentina because of the license plate that one of the guys used. The locals took it as a shot at the Falkland war.
