I had a buddy in college from Kenya. We had some econ classes together. He was at Bama to run track and was having a tough time finishing up his degree. So I let him cheat off me and he would take me out to the bar and buy me drinks. We developed a legit friendship that lasted for many years after college. Anyways he called me gay one time for telling him i liked to eat box. super conservative folks those Africans.
whenever i get in a lyft and the driver is playing african gospel music, i usually google the artist to get a sense of how much (if any) danger im in. same vibe as when I get in the backseat and it’s an old white man listening to dan bongino on the radio - except i don’t need to do any research then
This is a direct result of lobbying from American evangelicals. https://foreignpolicy.com/2023/03/19/africa-uganda-evangelicals-homophobia-antigay-bill/ They’ve spent tens of millions and put in multiple decades of work to radicalize Africa
the transphobe who couldn’t swim fast enough and all her bigot friends are still throwing a fit https://abcnews.go.com/US/dozen-fem...ender-participation-policy/story?id=108185214
While Lia has moved on from her college career and is now going to law school to continue to pursue her dreams, this little bitch has become a professional 'activist'
What a little cry baby. How would her life be any different if she had a different color medal? It’s college swimming, the outcome legitimately means nothing. Collegiate sports are about entertainment of fans (doesn’t apply in this sport), companionship with teammates, and continuing a hobby. If the NCAA wants to allow trans people to have similar opportunities, good for them. If transphobes are so worried about their precious/meaningless awards, they are welcome to go swim in another league where bigotry is celebrated. (I predict the bigot swimming league will never exist because there is no money made in this hobby)
I've mentioned my kid's former softball teammate who came out after being closeted for years a while ago; his older siblings have graduated HS now and so he and his parents are moving to a less horrible state.
that’s really good news. it’s such a shame that the ability to take care of your child depends on which state you live in. just like the founders intended!
I am not a trans woman, but in the spirit of inclusion, I will be allowing anyone who wants to to buy me a pizza as well.
I originally was going to just message you privately to ask about sending one to you but thought posting this might get others involved If you are not already spoken for, would be happy to send money for a pizza. If you are already covered for pizza, I don’t have anyone else in mind and would be fine being pointed in another direction
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mira_Bellwether notably, shes the author of the sex education zine “fucking trans women” - i’m sure it will be useful for some on this board. https://archive.org/details/fucking-trans-women-mira-bellwether-october-2010.cleaned/mode/1up
Am I reading this correctly? It doesn't have tk be pizza, just anything nice? Bellwether's widower subsequently proclaimed March 31, 2023—Bellwether's birthday, and also International Transgender Day of Visibility—the "First Annual Mira Bellwether Buy a Trans Woman a Pizza Day", pizza in the trans community often serving as a placeholder for any sort of care.
Obviously I'm extremely biased on how effective of a job we do but I do at least hope every area develops some level of these resources: https://www.weho.org/services/human...ansgender-services/transgender-resource-guide
idk why and it makes no sense to me but glimmer said you should send me a pair of the duck shoes you just bought for retail
stuff like this and what happened to my friends is why i’m strongly considering just not visiting alabama at all anymore.
