Talking about voters. All R voters are not some monolithic entity. 30-35% are too far gone, beyond all hope. Another 5-8% end up voting for the team. It’s the remaining 8-10% that are in play, they can be got. People in the burbs, people everywhere that lean R but still have common sense and are turned off by what’s going on with Trump and the GOP. It’s these people on the margins that will matter in 18 and 20. Calling all Rs one unthinking lockstep block is out of touch with reality. There are people that will continue to flee the Republican Party because of their transformation to a full on extremist party. This is way beyond the Tea Party of 2010.
