Not as much garbage as MSNBC being lower quality than Fox. Of course, that graphic was probably made when Olbermann was MSNBC’s flagship
I was agreeing with you. I would expect a prosecutor not to ask “did you commit crimes” but lay more foundation. But shit if he can get in without objection and he answers yes, go for it
Didn't realize he was back at ESPN until the tOSU stuff last week prompted me to watch SC for the first time in awhile.
His career took an absolute nosedive after his Scott Brown bullshit and ESPN threw him a life preserver
Apparently if you are blatantly selling out the country out in the open, no one cares. Emails though.
Went down a little google rabbit hole. Forgot/didn’t realize SHS was married. Trying to figure out to who/how/why I saw this picture of the family and there’s no doubt that’s her daughter.
This. While always relevant, also important to note the date. Mueller with months lead on all of this, and things that aren’t in the public domain...ha!
The notion that the president is not obligated to follow unconstitutional laws is not exactly a novel theory. As he noted in his speech, there is legal recourse for people who are affected and where the presidential wrong. But the notion that the president has the ability to not enforce clearly unconstitutional laws is not an extreme theory Edit: If the congress passed a law tomorrow that said all abortion was illegal, I think a president is perfectly within his right to say “nope” not enforcing that one until the Supreme Court tells me otherwise.
I think people are just terrified at the notion that Donald Fucking Trump would get to be some sort of final arbiter of constitutionality and individual rights.
I guess where I see it differently is that I don’t see the President as having the power to arbitrarily determine what is constitutional, let alone determine that with clarity. That’s the courts role. Trump has made many false claims about the constitutionality of speech, press, investigations, etc. where is the line for who determines what is clear?
That’s fine but that is equally dangerous. The law is the law. It’s not supposed to adjust based on who is in power. And no, he wouldn’t be the final arbiter. Kavanaugh addresses that
In those instances where a president ignores a law based on a belief in its unconstitutionality a court will ultimately decide the question. This is Not about ceding judicial oversight to the president
“The law is the law” is a nice platitude but if that were true, Merrick Garland would have been confirmed and nobody would be fighting the Kavanaugh nomination. “The law” is only as good as the people enforcing it.
Recap of the many lies told about an “inconsequential” meeting. It’s missing Don Jr.’s initial statement about no campaign meetings w/Russians, none were arranged, and he did not remember any.
