These are fundamentally different things. Every Nazi should be punched, and Rush Limbaugh dying was an objectively good thing. However, it’s shitty to pick the disability or a woman’s looks to be the butt of the joke. Being disabled isn’t funny. Being a woman who struggles with body image isn’t funny. Those are things that fuck over a huge portion of our society daily. I feel pretty confident in saying that no woman should be mocked about her appearance, and saying that no person should be mocked based on his or her disability. I think ‘women and the disabled can be mocked for those things if they deserve it,’ is a shit precedent advocated by shit people.

With very few exceptions I don’t believe in “always” and “never” type rules. Meaning, I generally agree that criticizing a detestable person for their looks is kind of cheap and irrelevant, usually. But I wouldn’t say it’s “never” okay. It would depend on circumstances. But Loomer objectively looks like a surgical freak show for someone who is only 28. Just like Steve Bannon looks like fucking shit even for a man his age. It’s not wrong to make those observations.

That’s a cop out. I’m not “getting past” him being a Nazi. I’m just not hurting other people purely because of something that, quite frankly, shouldn’t be viewed as something “less-than.” His abhorrent views and utter stupidity make him a piece of shit. I'm fearful of jumping in here, but when a person clearly spent a ton of time and money to make him or her look like a fucking clown I'm going to laugh. The handicap thing is more of an asshole getting his come uppance. If he were to learn something from his tragedy and use that new knowledge go help others I would welcome him with open arms but he remains fucking evil and learned nothing.
What if you, say, only made fun of people for the things that are actually bad, instead of mocking somebody for something that shouldn’t be seen as a problem in society?
