I like how the guy complaining about rigged elections comes from one of the most blatantly gerrymandered districts in the country. Gym is only the fourth person to represent Ohio's 4th District since WWII. Pretty decent job security. The seat for that District is Urbana (Population roughly 12,000). Either that is a cruel joke or they think they can claim that the district isn't designed to avoid urban areas.

Jordan’s district isn’t designed to protect Jordan by avoiding urban areas. It’s designed to dilute Democrat votes west of Cleveland. The area around northwest and central Ohio is among the most red in the country. There is no history of blue dog Democrats there. They literally have been voting red since Abraham Lincoln. Jordan was drawn to take that strong red base and then stretch into parts of former Democratic Rep Dennis Kucinich’s district in 2011. The GOP consolidated Kucinich with Kaptur, creating her snake-like district along the lake. Kaptur then beat Kucinich in the primary. The entire north part of Jordan’s district was drawn to throw any remaining blue votes into his red base.
I was thinking on a more Macro scale in terms of GOP cheating. I saw that Oberlin College is in his district. I don’t know how much more you can own the libs than having Gym be their man in Washington.
I think we see Jordan drawn to the east into Columbus Metro in 2022. The GOP isn’t necessarily worried about Lorain County west of Cleveland anymore. They can dilute it without stretching Jordan’s base that far. Delaware County north of Columbus is a real problem for the GOP now. It is grew from 67,000 in 1990 to a projected 220,000 in 2020. It was R +20 or more in every election from 1968-2012, ending with a Romney +23. It went Trump +16 and then Trump +6.5. It’s Ohio’s fastest growing large county and also it’s fastest trending red-to-blue. Jim Jordan will be redrawn there in 2021.
