This ends with a shitload of Skully and Hitchcock types doing desk pops just to get out on desk duty forever. Which honestly didn’t a bad thing.
It’s not a bad idea, as a very small percentage of police officers rarely use their fire arms in their career. How might you handle the officers that are involved in let’s say a repeat of the North Hollywood Shootout? or how about SWAT officers?
SWAT is hilariously overused. Get rid of no knocks and legalize weed and you get rid of 90% of SWATs need to exist.
I still remember my grandma talking about how militarized the police had become in the early 90s. If she would have lived to the Trump presidency my mom and her would of ended up killing each other.
He’s white and shot protestors. I don’t think there’s a court in the country that would convict anyone that did it. It’s going to be open season on shooting BLM protestors going forward
Back in the day I was a big fan. I haven’t been able to read anything of his without rolling my eyes lately.
I have a weird mixture of hatred and pity for all the middle aged white weirdos who are currently in a state of euphoria over some kid they don't know getting away with murder.
Splitting hairs, it seemed like the justice system worked. KR should have been found not guilty. The killings and acquittal are all the result of laws that the state legislature put in place. This is more a cautionary tale, one of thousands, of what happens when right wing extremist make the laws. They got their legal kills.
This is pretty much the dream of “stand your ground” type gun laws come true. We have learned nothing from 2020 as a country.
This may be a good time to mention that courtrooms are frequently just a judge's pathetic fiefdom where they do whatever the fuck they want for whatever reason they want.
