38 counts, photos, notes from his lawyers, audio recordings. He better do time for that. If anyone else did they'd probably get black bagged by the govt
Wasn't it established that Russian and Chinese spies were mar-a-lago members? You have to believe every document in that place has been copied.
Yeah the most charitable way to read it is that he just wanted to look like a badass in front of his people. But it's pretty hard to give Trump any benefit of the doubt as to intentions
GOP prob knew it was bad so you didn't see a big flood of people coming to his defense for this one... except DeSantis
It’s entirely plausible McCarthy and the doofus that runs his Twitter did not actually know this lmbo
This is a Daily Kos article that give the background and reason for attacking New College The shocking real reason DeSantis targeted New College is foretelling of things to come https://www.dailykos.com/stories/20...tail=emaildkre&pm_source=DKRE&pm_medium=email
long term outlook even after mass civil unrest isn’t good for Republicans if they gain essential one party control At some point they’ll have to make peoples lives significantly better or they’ll lose support and they have no idea how to do that essentially the dog will have caught the wheel
*Opportunity to bury Trump once and for all and take back the GOP for themselves magically appears* "ITS A GODDAMN OUTRAGE WHATS HAPPENING TO PRESIDENT TRUMP!!"--Meatball, Pence, Christie, etc. fucking mind boggling.
Y’all this indictment is wild. They literally have time stamps of when Nauta moved the boxes prior to the attorney review and time stamps for when He moved them back
just to clarify - that’s based on adding all the max penalties together, and there are like a billion statutory/legitimate legal hurdles that would prevent that from ever happening
Once they have absolute power though it doesn't matter. Pinochet was in power for 20 years and didn't make people's (other than rich people) lives better. Franco was in power for 40 years. Ditto.
it’s been pretty clear that they weren’t going to proceed unless the case was air tight against every reasonable defense. Doesn’t mean they’ll get convictions for a variety of reasons, but it explains why it took so long when the crime was obvious as soon as the basis for the document seizure was announced.
the redacted information pertains to the specific intelligence programs that are referenced in the documents so say you had a secret program to identify your opponent’s pitches and relay that information to your hitters, and you called that program “Yankees” and protected it as Top Secret the classification label would be TOP SECRET//Yankees, and if the program was so secret you couldn’t disclose its code name, you’d redact the “Yankees” part
Does anybody actually think our so called adversaries didn't figure out how to get eyes on this stuff btw? Seems like the only reasonable assumption is that everyone we'd be worried about knowing this stuff probably does at this point.
except for we clearly know Russia’s every move against Ukraine so it seems like we would know if they were getting their hands on this info maybe others though

I've mentioned a couple times in this thread that when I worked at Trump International, there were Russian employees who worked in the clubhouse.
Not a single stupid fucking strategist thought "let's just wait a minute, this is probably real bc Trump is a moron and we don't need to say stupid things that will look really really bad"
