From a motorcycle rider, why I wouldn’t ride a bike if I lived stateside again:

1) insurance cost in the states is insane for a bike because
A) insurers don’t accept they’re a primary vehicle and gouge you cuz they’re “recreational”
B) rates are high for ANY vehicle because you’re having to pay healthcare costs

2) Vehicles in the states are huge and people cannot see you

3) Traffic lights and filtering being illegal mean you’re basically baking in the sun for long periods, rather than round abouts and filtering keeping you moving

4) Every single traffic exchange being a crossroads is honestly terrifying; youhave to trust the guy looking over into the back seat messing with his kids atthe stop sign isn’t going to go and turn you into paste on the side of his F350

I’ve got a pair of dark blue Ecco’s that I love. Never worn them with a suit because I only have grey suits. They look great with khakis/slacks for office business casual as well as jeans for going out. Super comfortable as well.
