North Korea has a nuclear ICBM, and therefore can deliver a nuke to a good majority of the globe. It's unlikely that any sort of launch would be successful, and it is still in the testing phase, but I'm not sure exactly why this is a risk worth taking. Also, back in 2012 Obama strongly considered simultaneously bombing all North Korean launch sites, but all of the intel showed that we'd likely be unable to get everything, and certainly not before they inflicted heavy damage on Seoul. Also, not a risk worth taking. So, instead, Obama had the DoD invest heavily in the Left of Launch program to basically sabotage North Korea's missile systems. Which is why we now have the capability to kill many North Korean missile strikes before they ever happen. Thanks Barry.
