Just ordered the C3 for the living room. Went back and forth between the B3, but all the YouTube nerds said the C3 was best for bright rooms.
Glad to see the C3 is the consensus. Was almost forced into a non OLED but got everything worked out.
Seems like OLED is the best way to “future proof” your tv for the next 3-4 year. But who knows if that is true.
So just moved into our new (old) house and wanted to mount our Sony LED above the fireplace in the living room. Turns out instead of a wood panel and then brick, it just the 1 inch thick wood panel, about 8 inches of air, then the flue with no studs to be found. Any advice? Thought about cutting a whole in the center and installing a horizontal 2x4 to drill into but other corners of the internet seem to think that just some drywall fastens will be more than adequate. TV weighs about 55lbs with the mount if that helps.
I have a Samsung LED something or other upstairs and a C1 in my basement. It’s such a stark difference when watching the same content.
it’s great, I have ATT fiber so I’m getting pretty ridiculous speeds throughout the 2 floors of my house
Got the Sony A95L, the Bose Smart Ultra Sound bar, and the Bose 700 subwoofer a few weeks ago. My productivity has gone way down.
Seems the general consensus on outdoor TVs is to just go cheap with the expectation to replace every couple years. Think I'm going with this: And am I reading this right with the "Costco Direct Savings" I buy 2 and get $100 off? 2 for $600 is wild.
What’s the best tv now for 55”? I know LG’s have been the preferred for awhile over Samsung. We won an 80” Vizo at a Christmas party raffle and I guess I’m gonna sell the thing for whatever and get something that fits on the wall
My 55” LG C8 that I bought early 2019 for $1300 is still trucking and looking glorious. For any worried about longevity do not fret. also if you’re looking to save some cash, do what I did and wait until the next years models come out then buy the previous year’s model for a nice discount. Think I saved $500
I got the 77" G1 two ago for $3200. I originally paid $3800, but Staples had some add where it was listed at $3200 and Best Buy ended up price matching it even though I believe the ad was a mistake and only up for a couple days. I couldnt believe they honored it. The TV is amazing though.
I did go cheap and got a LG UR8000 from Costco for a bedroom but still, yeah. Also wish I'd gotten them wall-mounted sooner. Looks so much better
They first built it 2 inches too small for that TV. Really the space was like 10 inches narrower than planned. Rather make the shelves more narrow they took from the TV space, not sure why they wouldn’t ask our opinion. They took out some pieces of trims or something and got 2.5” inches thank god.
So not only did BestBuy make their membership paid instead earning it through money spent, they also removed earning points/rewards unless you have a credit card. I knew about the paid membership (and paid it a few months ago) but had no idea about the points. Not that BestBuy is a little guy but I liked buying from them instead Amazon if I could but they've about all but eliminated the benefits buying from them. Being able to get something immediately is now the only edge they have.
Looking at getting a new TV soon. Is OLED worth the extra money over QLED? Like would a 65 inch OLED be a lot better than a 75 inch QLED since they’re similar price
My parents' 15 year old Vizio finally died and I haven't researched tv's in a while. Any recommendations on a middle of the road 65" tv? It will be hooked up to a FireStick and Dish network and used for movies and sports.
