So we’re rooting for 9-2 SEC teams to lose and SMU and/or Miami to lose today? Maybe army to beat ND?
Actually of all people JC Sherbet made doom good points that Ole Miss doesn’t really help us bc of head to head. Pavia pulling one out of his ass against Tenn would be much more helpful. I don’t see how Tamu losing to Auby wouldn’t help us though. Wyo beating Boise St and Kansas beating Colorado would create some chaos that could be beneficial to us as well.
Need Miami to lose so Clem gets into the ACC champ game. If we beat them, that’ll make us look all the better.
If army beats ND, do they just take ND’s spot? I would think if aTm AND Tenn lose another game we are for sure in as 4th sec team
depends what happens with their conference championship game and boise. would they really take 2 G5s? don’t think we are passing horns, dawgs, tide or rebs so probably stuck at #5.
We’ve looked kinda like shit all day today, but LaNorris has been excellent outside of that early pick.
This team is a lot of fun. Say what you want about Coach Nepo but he’s built a solid culture imo. They have fun, play hard.
He will have a better record than spurrier did in his first 50 games if we beat Clemson. Considering where we were and who we are it’s hard to ask for much more.
Totally agree. I was in school 2010-2014 so I was spoiled AF with unprecedented football success, but a competitive top-20/15 team is nothing I would ever complain about
I love what juju has shown by sticking with the team and never really complaining about his diminished role, but I’ll be happy to have someone that is at least a threat returning that ball next year.
I wish we’d let Ashford return kicks or something. He might be our best guy in space outside of Rocket and he needs to touch the ball some.
Feels like there's no buildup to the game with Thanksgiving week. I look on social media and all I see is celebration over Wofford. Any good buildup articles with historical stakes, etc?
I’ll fax you my term paper from 10th grade I wrote about the history of the rivalry. It received a 110 while nobody else scored over 100. I quarter assed it and was expecting a mid to low C. It’s baffling because the rivalry has not brought me good fortune to say the least.
I've written such papers myself. I get what you're saying, you and I know more than sportswriters. Just want to read a piece setting it all up. Particularly the question ashy larry asked. I know 2013 was the highest combine rank of the two teams. There was no playoff then though. Is this the "highest stakes" Palmetto Bowl ever? What other nuggets can professional writers pull out while I'm at work?
I think the answer to your question was Tajh Boyd’s senior year where we beat them soundly and they beat LSU in the Peach Bowl and their fans were behaving as if they had gotten their revenge on us. I suppose they were somewhat right because that was the last game I thought we’d actually win against them for a loooooooong time.
That was 2012. We beat Michigan in Outback Bowl and they beat LSU. 2013 was Tajh Boyd again and we won again. We beat Wisconsin in the Citrus Bowl. Not sure about them.
Does anybody have a link to the breakdown of how we fare against them during democratic presidencies? If we win Saturday, I'm pretty sure that means we have a winning record against them under Obama/Biden.
A friend of mine showed me the swaths of tweets complaining about her not dogpiling on the trans community when some dipshit at a press conference thought that trans women in women’s sports was in dire need of addressing. One guy thought it was proof she wasn’t a TRUE CHRISTIAN PATRIOT. Can’t you do something like fix their brain rot or make them vanish?
Paopao Tessa Fulwiley thats your trio, Dawn I know she likes to reward her vets for sticking around but Bree and Raven don’t have it right now
