Has anyone actually met/interacted with Pastides personally? Seems like a nice enough guy, but I'd be interested to know what he's like one-on-one.
A little bit. No clue what he's really like because obviously he's always gotta be putting on some act or another but I think he does an admirable job of being everything to everyone: the students think he's "cool", the faculty respect him as an academic/researcher, and the sports fans like him because he wears a SC baseball hat, goes to games, tweets about sports etc. That is really hard to do, particularly the thing of pleasing academics/athletics at the same time
I was friends with a few guys that were involved in opposing the merger between USC and MUSC. I wasn't personally involved but they found Pastides and Sorenson to be rude and condescending. Generally, I think they felt they were blowing them off and ignoring there concerns. Pastides was not as bad as Sorenson if memory serves. After the merger a significant amount of faculty left for the new college of pharmacy at PC. The number of faculty that left led us to believe they also didn't care for the way the administration handled things. Not for nothing but that merger didn't even last 10 years. Since he's been president Pastides seems like he's doing a good job to me, but idk.
Seems like his tenure has been pretty meh. Hard to argue he's been bad and hard to argue he's been good.
There's a 3 star running back committing today that people think will pick us. Track star that ran a 4.34 at lsu camp. His offer list is really good, but I don't know anything about him or why he's a 3 star or if he'll even pick us
We should make some kind of internet fan club signs and all go together. Might get to smoke a blunt with Froggy and MMM

Marcus Spears is "high" on us at media days, particularly our offense. He says our OL is "big, physical, moves people"
What do y'all expect from the freshman WRs? Per Deebo and Hayden Hurst at media days, Shi Smith is the fastest guy on the team. I know OrTre is coming off an injury; not sure how his recovery from that has been
