First time since Orlando for work since we became national champs. I must be getting old because I just went over to the bookstore during lunch and campus when all the kids are out is much more enjoyable.
Added FAMU to next year's schedule so the halftime show will be cool. Very excited for Milton's senior day vs USF. He gonna torch those fuckers. Week 1: FAMU Sept. 7 @ FAU Sept. 14 vs. Stanford Sept. 21 at Pitt
Do we actually expect Stanford to show up or will they cancel our game and schedule on against Northwestern?
They’ve certainly killed them off for less. It’s just amazing to me that college kids would be dumb enough to post stuff like that to social media. Not that it’d be ok to secretly film and not, it’s just.. wtf kids.
Didn’t they just kick one off because a pledge got iced and his mom complained? Edit. Found it http://www.orlandosentinel.com/feat...cf-frat-suspended-alcohol-20180206-story.html
Twenty year olds are fuckin stupid. The Marines have been busted with this shit at least twice in the last year.
The frontal lobe of the brain, the part that affects decision making, is not fully developed until around 22 years old (why you can' rent a car until 25).
Younger than you and same. They added a fraternity called Sigma Pi when I was there and the people that joined were lol worthy.
Why can’t boys just burn pictures of their ex’s while getting wasted and then shame crying in their dorm rooms like we used to?
I once passed out in a plate of chicken wings at hooters while pining over an ex. Thank god facebook didn't exist. But on to more uplifting news...
I think it would be bad if he’s the guy taking the most snaps at TE, but I’ll take a guy with some experience.
This made me laugh. https://www.everydayshouldbesaturday.com/2018/6/19/17479074/shutdown-fullcast-grothe-pointe-blank
Love it. Memphis, Pitt and FAU are harder though I think. The question mark will be whether or not the arranged marriage between Heupel and Shannon is working, and how will the kids respond when something goes wrong and Frost isn't around -- do they blame his departure for their first loss? Or?
I think it will be more of “If something goes wrong a Shaq isn’t around” who will step up and be an example on the field
I think the 2 5 year senior safeties and Pat Jasinski bring his lunch pale to work everyday will provide plenty of on the field leadership. Not a huge fan of Tre Neal on the field, but he seems like a guy that approaches the game the right way.
I think one thing overlook is Frost built the defense over the last few years mostly on recruits from the GOL I gave up years. You don’t won’t a defense full of 18-19 year olds . I trust Frost to have recruited some beasts on defense that are ready to show their potential. The only 3 Frost recruits that I can think of that got any time last year was Hill, Hughes, and BAM. Also out backups went against the best offense in the country week in and week out last season. They are going to be scared of UConn?
Yeah I don’t think it will be a big problem. I’m just saying that with what they all went through last season together, if shit gets tough, I don’t really think they are going to blame the old staff or be looking at the new staff to get them out of it. They will be looking to Milton and their peers
Any sleeper teams in the AAC. I think we're all expecting Memphis and USF might be good. Who else is on the upswing that might make a big jump this year.
https://thebiglead.com/2018/06/22/ranking-the-top-10-quarterbacks-in-college-football-for-2018/ Spoiler #1 McKenzie Milton UCF Cue D.J. Khaled. All Milton does is win. He led the 2017 Knights to a 13-0 season which culminated in a Peach Bowl win over Auburn. In that game, Milton was 16 of 36 for 242 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed 13 times for 116 yards and a touchdown. That came after he beat 16th-ranked Memphis, 62-55, in overtime in the AAC title game. Milton had 494 passing yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions with 68 rushing yards and a touchdown. On the season, he completed 67.1 percent for 4,037 passing yards, 37 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also posted 613 rushing yards and eight touchdown on the ground. He’s an outstanding dual-threat quarterback who wins games. While the knock on him might have been that he wasn’t challenged by a high level of competition, his wins over Auburn and Memphis proved he’s the nation’s best
I don’t follow recruiting enough to know if these are good commitments, but it feels like everyday a new person is committing to us. Maybe Shannon and Huepel are decent at this recruiting thing.
Guys seem to be recruiting their asses off. I'm a fan. Meanwhile USF now has 7 decommits already this cycle.
I was really impressed with the D line during the spring game. Definitely need Hill to step up and buy in, but our DEs were huge and fast. Charlton looked really good too (early enrolle for the spring)
Landing a ton of SoFla kids. Only knock is most are low stars or completely unranked. Personally, as long as they're fast and from Florida I'm totally okay with that.
Well that is a strong denial. Kansas is a dumpster fire of a football program with little hope and even though DW is a basketball guy I guess he understands the potential here. Dude was such a phenomenal hire.
Danny could probably get any major job in the country. I’m not delusional enough to think he’ll never leave but he definitely seems to love what he’s building here
I wonder if he wants his dad's job or something like that. I know ND people hate his dad or he would probably want that one.
Got the UCF/USF game on, and I have a pork shoulder and a brisket on my smoker. Happy America Day, gentlemen.
