From what I understand the two new guards and Aubrey all seem to be real solid. We will definitely be better next year.

 

Hey brahmanknight when you finally going to rename the water cooler to something more appropriate like the White Supremacists of UCF or UCF Alt Right Forum Or maybe Straight Whites Only board?

 

Hitt just sent out an email advising our international students and teachers to not leave the country if they fall under the exec order, linked a website for updated info, and basically said the order is bullshit. Love my school.

 

Is it online anywhere? Would like to read

UCF’s Position on White House Executive Order
Since the White House issued an executive order suspending the entry of individuals from certain countries into the United States, UCF has worked with our international students and faculty and staff members to help understand and manage this change.

UCF has created a “Focus on Immigration” web site that will be updated as we learn more about the impact of the executive actions. Until then, we urge members of our community affected by the executive order to avoid any travel outside of the U.S.

In a broader context, education is an instrument of diplomacy. As former President Ronald Reagan said, educational and cultural exchanges make us “more sensitive and wiser international citizens.”

At its core, a university’s mission is to cultivate talent and ability without regard to religion, national origin, and other factors. I believe diversity and inclusivity make our university smarter and stronger.

Personally, my mind is drawn to the timeless words of American poet Emma Lazarus. Her most famous work, “The New Colossus,” is etched in bronze at the Statue of Liberty. Her words remind me that compassion is an innate characteristic of our great country.

that man. UCF is what it is today because of his vision and leadership.
Regardless of your views on the executive order, I feel like he has always done what is in the best interest of the university and its students.

 

Stetson sent the same email out basically saying the school won't cooperate with the federal governments requests for foreign students info

 

Like what I see of the class so far. Was just watching highlights of the new QB, Darriel Mack, kid looks legit. Big arm, quickness and elusiveness, and speed.
Lots of big kids too, 6-3 WR's, two OT's at 6-6, a 6-8 DE.

 

Any surprises or were these guys all expected?

 

from what i can tell they were all expected.

 

I dont follow recruiting much anymore but the guys we have signed on defense are fucking huge.

 

yep, almost everyone we signed are good sized. 6' and taller except for 2 or 3 guys. Both QB's and all the WR's are like 6'2 or 6'3

 

Videos look good but highlight tapes always look good.
The white kid actually appears to be faster, looks like the other one is a tough tackle. Both seem to be very mobile, ran some read option/true option in the videos.
Now I never saw Pineapple Express in his highlight videos, but both of these kids look like they have the tools to be a lot better.

 

Blaise Winter's kid couldn't sign with MSU today because he is in jail.

Attrition hitting hard in basketball, about the time I figured. It's hard to grind it out day in and day out with such a limited squad.

UCF is claiming he is 240lbs. Holy fuck if that is close to being accurate. That's bigger than Latavius Murray was in college and 3" shorter.

Hope it's true but I'll believe it when I see him on campus. A week ago he was telling people he was going to Ole Miss, the launched a weather balloon that told him to go to Maryland or something and now he signed here

yeah, seems like the strange ones like this always go sideways at some point.

 

So between Killins, this new kid, and Hamilton we have fast as shit, a bruiser, and a guy in between.

 

Otis Anderson and Bentavious also seem impressive.

 

I'd be surprised if Cordarrian ever suits up for a game at ucf.

Yup. Almost certainly not qualifying. His HS is under investigation for a grade changing scandal involving multiple athletes.

It's still USF though, if he does well, he won't be there for long

 

Taggart went to Oregon and got everyone from Florida. Charlie was in Florida and got crushed.

 

I could be wrong but i didn't think tags had any problem getting kids from Tampa.

 

Ugly, ugly damn game last night, but a damn fine win. So many times they could have crumbled coming down the stretch but they did just enough. Made some timely baskets in among the turnovers and missed free throws,
and Memphis just didn't look good, but a win is a win.
If they keep up the pace, they will get a first round bye in the conference tourney.

 

Bars in Orlando close at 2, the bars usually had long ass lines after 12, and the specials were gone. Showing up after 12 was for amateurs.

if we play like we did against Memphis (plus maybe hit some fucking free throws this time), and catch Cincy on a down night, maybe.
