hey hey hey.. the san marino team has a stadium with a capacity of 700!! but to answer your question, I assume there are leagues in all European countries and these 2 teams happen to be the champions of thier respective leagues.
30,000 people live in San Marino. I think they have like 3 career international goals. LOL Vatican City League is WOAT though
Spurs should be seeded in qualifying, maybe even 1 or 2. Hopefully we draw a nice Azerbaijan side that played a couple rounds over it's head.
Also the first qualifying phase should have started yesterday in another exciting fixture featuring the champions of Andorra against the champions of Malta, but the game had to be cancelled because the pitch conditions were terrible due to heavy rains.
Here's a little rundown. The big countries get guaranteed spots into group play, the big countries also send a team or two to the qualifying tournament, but they don't play til like Round 3 or 4.
I feel like when I write a soccer book it should be about me going to Andorra and trying to play in their pro league
it wouldn't surprise me in the least if you made it. also a little known fact: andorra is the world's lone independent catalan state
Spurs are in the non champions bracket and they will likely face a second place team from Belgium or so.
Not how it works. Spurs will be on the major side and face another major. Very likely you could get Sevilla, Werder, Ajax or Celtic. It won't be an easy draw and it wouldn't surprise me if ya'll lose the tie like Everton. I'm hoping you do, more money for Arsenal.
Here is last years Non Champions Playoff Rd. Bold teams entered from the Non Champions qualifying Rd. Non-Champions Path Lyon France 8–2 Belgium Anderlecht 5–1 3–1 Celtic Scotland 1–5 England Arsenal 0–2 1–3 Timi?oara Romania 0–2 Germany Stuttgart 0–2 0–0 Sporting CP Portugal 3–3 (a) Italy Fiorentina 2–2 1–1 Panathinaikos Greece 2–5 Spain Atlético Madrid 2–3 0–2
Good sweet fuck. That is the most complicated tournament set up I've ever seen. I think we need to oversee a hostile takeover of Tre Fiori. How many MBers could make that team?
Last year was the first year for this format. The old one pitted both champions and non champions against each other and there were more rounds and it was just as confusing.
I just want to watch Newcastle in the CL before I die, I wasn't a big follower when we made it back in 02
