Doubling down. SMH. Not that anything these guys say matters. Major reason I have scaled way back following football recruiting. At least with basketball there aren't as many players to follow and you typically don't see a lot of flips.
defense vs offense i guess. but 16 brice is the best big man season outside of hansbrough under roy imo. not a ton of true centers anymore so you could put henson at the 5 in place of zeller and it would work with brice
Brandan Wright disagrees with this post. But that aside, Henson is a far better defender than either Zeller or Brice. Think if you’re constructing the best 5 he has to be on the list. For offensive game from the forwards/center I think Z gives you consistent night in night out performance but Brice seemed to step up in the bigger games as a senior. Tough to pick between those two.
of our seven 4 stars so far, we've got two on the DL (our two highest), two Safeties, and a Linebacker different world we're living in now
Doesn't sound set in stone by any means, but it's still pretty telling when he says Sam's been the most consistent. Wonder how much the minor injuries have held back the other two guys though.
So after the open practice, it appears the prevailing thought is that this is a bowl team if we can stay healthy in the trenches.
also b rob and garrison both said that pierce reminds them of an athletic luke maye without the post moves. i will take that any day
we say it every year but this class is really shaping up to be something. so many moving parts something like: love or davis springer or thompson ziare williams timberlake or puff garcia or kessler sharpe would be amazing. staff is recruiting as if bacot is one and done so its gonna be another big class. need a lead guard, a combo guard, center and at least one 3/4 combo forward imo
hard to feel one way or the other about him so far, probably the guy I was most iffy on with how his Miami lines looked though
Should I expect to be able to get tickets through the new student lottery for the Miami game and get a student guest ticket? It’s the home opener and against the U so I think maybe students will show?
Tennessee is getting the last visit on Oct 4 for the Georgia game. Our Rivals' mod is all in that Tennessee leads and has the upper hand. I take it with a grain of salt, but he usually doesn't get like this on prospects. I think he is a little juiced up because these are the most stars he has dealt with since Aaron Craft, Josh Shelby, and Kevin Ware.
yeah some people are worried about first vs last visit but i think the scheduling is mainly to take advantage of the biggest home football weekends for each school and it just happens that tennessee's is a week later than ours our mod has no read. says all 5 are pretty even which is fairly rare. usually they'll just say one or two schools lead the list within the list but they swear there is no separation with any of the 5
fuck yeah Kendall's getting an official role as Director of Basketball Recruiting and Roy confirms that his intent is to become a coach never believed that fluff a few years back where he was supposedly saying he had no interest in coaching, future star
good article that i think TTgator91 would enjoy https://www.espn.com/blog/new-orlea...-one-time-it-was-receivers-coach-ronald-curry
What do we do when we beat a power 5 school in the opener? I don't know what to do. I thought it was illegal or something.
leading up to the game I was saying to myself that this would be the rare time I'd be happy with a moral victory I was very stupid leading up to the game the typical Carolina agonizingly close moral victory would've been devastating
98 yard td drive in crunch time 95 yard td drive in crunch time Defensive plays in crunch time These are things I am not used to Also 238 yards rushing
clean up some of those whiffs in the backfield and we could've seen oodles and oodles of defense things
What a great win! I had intentionally tempered my anticipation and expectations for this season. Boy was that dumb. Very impressed with Howell's composure. Threw some ugly balls and was way to loose with the ball. However, and he's tough and brings some guts and confidence to the QB position. Good to see us run and stick with it. Had a 100 yard rusher, a 70 yd rusher and a 50 yd rusher. Spread the ball to the WRs, but only 2 rec by backs and none by TEs was a surprise to me. Chazz led the team in tackles, and probably missed 5 (or more) more. Really impressed with his change of position and maturity it takes to make that change. DBs were pretty good other than the one blown coverage on the TD to the TE and PI on the busted play heave. I was really worried once Morrison went down but Greg Ross played pretty good and the other young guys stepped up. Need to work on getting the e QB on the ground when we get hands on him. Go Heels.
SC is not good but some of our better teams have lost to some of their good teams. It was a fun one to watch from SC side of the stadium.
