Agent: Reggie, there’s been a big offer from a Russian club but do you want to play in front of a bunch of racists that hate you? Reggie: I play in Texas Agent: Touché
The guy who runs that acct was on the local soccer radio talk show (yes there is one) on Saturday and said he can’t name the French team but that they are more likely than Barnsley to get Reggie.
In the end, PV will go down as one of the USMNT most important influencers. Between the pre-90 work in Spain, the 90 World Cup, launch of the MLS, transitioning from MLS Cup winning player (DotY) to MLS Cup winning coach (only man in history to do it at one franchise), And in the end, PV, Lagerwey, DonG. They’ve directed American soccer for years. And when push comes to shove, PV has always been the loudest voice. https://www.brotherlygame.com/2020/...ed-german-hungarians-peter-vermes-mike-serban
To be fair, people(me included) said Pulisic to Chelsea wasn't the move. Maybe this move pushes Wes to take the next step as a player
There’s irony in a lot of US fans whining about players staying in MLS and not challenging themselves, and then whining when a player joins an ambitious club to challenge themselves. If you’re a first team player, I don’t see any harm in challenging yourself. Even if you “fail”, you’ll have opportunities elsewhere.
I hope instruction from a generational midfielder doesn’t undo all of MLS Eastern Conf. Finals participant G-regg’s hard work
Imagine Pirlo simultaneously sharing both his football and wine expertise with you good heavens, go get it Weston
Yep and it’s still a loan for the 1st year. If Juve doesn’t want to buy him, a good resume builder for Schalke to still sell him the following season. Matuidi, Pjanic, Muratore all gone with Arthur in. Plus they could be unloading Khedira and/or Ramsey.
I don't think it's whining. people just want to see the kid succeed and are nervous he's making a mistake.
I've ridden the roller coaster of emotions when hearing the Wes news going from "wow, that's incredible" to "wait, will he even play" and now to "shit, maybe this is fucking awesome."
I'm glad it's just a 1 year loan 2 years before the next WC. If it goes poorly he can just go back to Schalke next year. If it goes well though then it could really improve his game.
It’ll be a challenge but I’m fairly optimistic even though I don’t think he’ll be more than a spot starter. I do think there’s something to him looking less impressive offensively than he really is because he was on a team that as a whole was completely inept in the other end.
I actually used to consider myself somewhat of a Bradley apologist. feels good to finally put that behind me now.
