So we getting the 90s song Quicksilver scene in the next episode? Don't think they did one in that abomination Dark Phoenix. Was just the score as he was saving people in space IIRC.
Read one where the crossover is due to the “event” in Logan by Professor X. Almost the same as the snap, when professor x had his huge episode it sent a ton of mutants in their universe to the MCU so in Logan they just assume they’re all dead. Also would be a way to re-cast Wolverine as he would be the Wolverine from the MCU and not from the X-men movies
Danny's 5'0; Logan's supposed to be like 5'3 to 5'5. Hugh Jackman was "too tall" but he was so good in the role no one really minded. I don't think Feige and Finn are going to be worried too much about casting a short guy, especially since most actors in Hollywood are around 5'10 to 6'0. I've seen Taron Egerton's name tossed out as a good pick. He's 5'9 For me, it's not the height but the presence that makes a good Wolverine. You've got to have a guy with quiet confidence, a bit of wiseass that comes from his knowledge that he can probably kick anyone's ass so he doesn't mind who he pisses off (also he's full of self-loathing so he's always happy to pick a fight), but then also he needs to be able to flip a switch and look like a deranged animal-like psychopath.
As much as I love the weekly release because it allows for additional theorizing/discussion I really wish I could binge the rest of this season now. I'm so hooked on this show. So this "recast" Pietro has powers but also MCU Pietro's memories? An argument for and against being the Fox version. I'm still leaning towards him being the Fox version but someone has altered his mind/memories into thinking he was the MCU Pietro. They're really going out of their way to build up the suspense around who the aerospace engineer is - I'll be shocked if it's Reed simply because keeping that casting under wraps for this long would be nearly impossible.
I still think something is up with her, she was the only one that was able to answer Vision’s questions and her naming Wanda could just be a misdirect.
Yes so for those who don’t really read the comics We’re in a pandemic, get the marvel unlimited app and just crush through some of the older stories in the free trial. Most of the time they’re profiled as “best of” or “essentials”
Did anyone else get the impression pietro was fishing for some info in a nefarious way? Like he was sent in specifically to get info from Wanda?
This show just gets better and better. Loved to the yogurt commercial. So true. Those container seals were the worst.
It was a perfect 90s commercial too! That animated edgy shark seemed like a real mascot from that time
I don’t think she’ll get powers from crossing the barrier, but now that she’s in the hex and in the circus they should make her a fortune teller.
That commercial intrigued me more than anything in this episode. Some speculative thoughts: Spoiler I’m really interested to see what that commercial represents. The previous commercials all pretty clearly could be connected to some trauma Wanda has had previously endured in the MCU, but this one looks to refer to Wanda’s current mindset. I guess I’ve seen some theories that it could be in reference to Wanda’s time interned on the Raft, but I don’t think that’s the case. It seems that the boy represents Wanda alone and desperate to solve his hunger / her loneliness. Some (likely nefarious) other being (the shark does have some fucked up eyes) provides her with the ability to satiate the hunger/loneliness, but it doesn’t fully work. Wanda is able to create an environment that approaches Vision and Pietro being alive, but she knows they’re not actually alive or the true versions of when they were alive. The boy’s hunger clearly isn’t satiated because he can’t open the yogurt and dies trying. Also, Wanda is asked multiple times how she’s doing this (once by Vision last episode and once by Pietro today) and basically answers “I don’t know” each time. This gives credence to someone/something else guiding/influencing her for some ulterior motive. Long story short, I’m excited to see who that dick head shark is...
I thought it might have been that she's been drained of her magic (you need To Magic to keep from wasting away). I think that's why she's losing control of the people near the perimeter that she doesn't interact with.
First watch thoughts. Loved the costumes but we already knew they were using them. The twins have powers, So all the stuff about Tommy (being born first, losing teeth first, hair growing faster) is incredible. Last week no kids in town, now there’s thousands of kids everywhere. Pietro called the kids “demon spawn” and then he said the city was “charming as hell”.... and on that note Herb broke and asked Wanda “can I change anything” when she was disturbed that Vision lied to her. “Accent-gate.” Agnes dressed up as a witch. Kind of weird that between her poly sci degree and getting her doctorate in astrophysics Darcy became a master hacker as well. Monica will enter the hex again and her cells will break down into pure energy and that’s where her powers come from. (Wonder what name they’ll use?). Pietro is an enigma. He said he got shot in the street and was dying. We saw the AoU gunshot wounds but then “is your dead husband going to die again?” Wtf? Pietro was gone long before Vision died. How’d he know that? Last one, it looked like the file Darcy couldn’t get into was called “cataracts” so I’m guessing it’s the file with what they were really doing when they experimented on Vision.
I'm getting strong "supervillain-in-the-making" vibes from Agent Hayward. He seems to have developed a vendetta against superheros (bitterness over losing to Thanos in Infinity War) and it just feels like the backstory to someone who might go rogue and team up with a Baron Zemo-type.
That’s Director Hayward, sir. I just came across an interesting theory regarding Hayward Spoiler It’s obvious that SWORD used Vision’s body to create a weapon of some kind and that weapon is going to be sentinels robots.
