I grew up in eastern PA 20 mins from jersey
It got me last night. I have been going to work all throughout COVID and still was during the fires. Came home yesterday, almost passed out and had a serious migraine
I'm totally remote and staying inside, but I guess it's just been long enough now with the reduced exposure for it to matter :/
My girlfriend and I have been dealing with migraines since the weekend
take it to the east coast hellscape armageddon inferno thread.
What's the AQI normally where you guys are? Just checked ours and its 29
The Apple Weather app says it’s 27 here
Update: coughing like a motherfucker the last two mornings about 30 minutes after I wake up
It's good enough that I hadn't ever checked it before like last week
We actually manged to plummet into the double digits over the last few hours. Fucking miracle.
We dropped from 161 to 95 in like 2 hours
AQI of 11 rn
Currently have flash flood warnings and to watch for debris flow in the locations of fires
Nothing like what y'all are dealing with but we reached an aqi of 78 in OKC. Can't smell it but the visibility is super low.
We're in much better shape now but still not technically 'normal'
Not sure of the containment of Riverside and Beachie Creek, but Holiday Farm is supposedly around 17%
Climate change is real y'all and its here. I have lived in this area my entire life and we have never had fires like this before, this has now happened twice in the last 3 years (this year was the worst in a century though).
This was 9/8
The Bobcat Fire is still burning pretty much out of control. It burned clear across the mountain range to the high desert, the Joshua Trees and Manzanitas are getting obliterated . Burned through a lot of the camping places I've been going to since I was a kid.
Joshua Trees take a really long time to grow, so this is terrible.
I hated that album
Feels like she's really shoehorning that tie-in to social issues
According to her own tweet, none of them started the fires for political reasons. The headline is "butthurt bitches start fires"
the fire here was stopped about a quarter mile from the property line
Napa and Sonoma are getting destroyed
Meanwhile our air is supposed to get smokey again tomorrow, because in 2020 SMOKE FORECASTS ARE A THING
My rep had to evacuate from St Helena this weekend his house isn’t looking good
