I post about him all the time and no one really seems to care so I’ll just use this as a landing spot. He’s our greatest living American and turns ninety next April so we should celebrate him whenever possible. You should too!
Today i just heard a commercial on the radio about him promoting Skechers. First time I’ve head about him in a long time. Carry on
Saw him a few years ago with Alison Krauss. He put on a great show but would sometimes forget a few lines. His band was awesome and would just jump to the right spot to catch up with him.
He doesn’t need the money, the man just loves to continue to perform his music for people. Hope his body can keep up with his mind for the remainder of his time. Willie is the man.
His son has some solid music too. Country isn't my usual thing but when I heard his guitar playing I bought in
What's the worst thing you can hear when giving Willie Nelson a blowjob? Spoiler I'm not Willie Nelson.
A woman walks in to a tattoo parlor and tells the artist she would like two tatoos, one of Robert Redford on her left upper thigh, and one of Paul Newman on her right thigh. After hours of work the tatoo artist is finished and holds a mirror in between the womans legs for her to view. The woman says," I dont know if these really look like Paul & Robert, and I ain't payin for this if it isn't right! " She tells the artist she will go just outside the buisness and ask someone walking down the street if they know who the two men are on her thighs, if they answer correctly she would pay the artist. She soon sees a man walking down the street, so she pulls up her skirt and asks him, " Can you tell me who the man on my right thigh and the man on my left thigh are?" The man replies, " I dunno, but the one in the middle looks like Willie Nelson!"
son of a bitch, a post like this just to say how great it is he's still alive is just PLAYING WITH FIRE
My dad brokered the sale of a jet to him and was kind enough to invite my dad and my mom to dinner to celebrate. My mom says there’s a picture of Willie holding me as a baby but I’ve never been able to find it. Also ‘Me and Paul’ was written about my friend’s dad, Paul English.
Was listening to Booker T Jones talking about producing stardust and Georgia on my mind at Emmylou Harris’ Beverly Hills house in the 70s and Booker thinks ray Charles has the more country version and Willie the more R&B version. These two loved each other so much.
Phases and stages has grown to be my favorite Willie album but Stardust will be studied for as long as there are humans
Literally never heard #3 before but was listening to his 70 year old daughter Lana talk about how she’d call into Willie’s Portland radio show and request it every day for nap time when she was a kid.
You've never heard Red Headed Stranger before? The whole album is outstanding. It's a full story told in songs. The movie isn't too bad either
