100% serious Never really listened to U2 and looking over their list of singles, I’m not sure I recognize any by name from the 80s-90s besides Sunday Bloody Sunday and With or Without You
Globle on 8 and Worldle on 2. The 2 things through me off and I guessed a nearby country with 2 names first
Really?? This is surprising edit: was looking at the wrong puzzle. After going through it myself, I’m no longer surprised
Ehn, I can maybe understand why, especially if you're on hard mode. I got a 4/6 but I was able to play around a bit, rather than those crazies here who insist on making life even harder.
I’m not surprised. That puzzle scared the crap out of me once I realized that i had _A_ER and probably 100 different possibilities. Normally, I turn hard mode off on guess 4 or 5 if there are more possibilities than I have guesses left (or I see myself falling into a hole). This time I turned it off after guess 2. Spoiler
That’s where I was confused. It was still 1030 for me, so I was still on puzzle 563, not 564. As you can see above, 564 nearly killed me
5/6, and a disappointing one coming off of the first guess, even if it was designed to be caught in a trap. Learn Large Laser Later Layer
Is it terrible? I landed on the A in the right place and learned there was an R in the word, as well as removing an S and T from consideration. I try to start with a word that has one less-used letter, F in this case. So I think it was a fine starter.
I just meant bc you picked a plural word, which can never be the answer. Will never happen but I always go for win on all guesses
Gotcha. Yeah I don't mind throwing out a plural word just to see if there's an S to be found. And it's purely a guessing game for the first guess, so that's the best time to try one.
Yeah, it's actually a very useful starter word - as you say, it's got the whole RST thing going, which are the 3 big consonants (along with N).
I don’t know why I didn’t think of sleep, was just wanting a double E word to figure out where that E was, but first 2 in awhile.
I would just like to say I got the “one in a million” award for guessing a word in quordle correctly on the first entry.
