Not enough Jesus I guess… yes I’m still bitter Brooks got a joke gift to beat Zahid. That was just a choke by a gassed Brooks, shit happens
Zhamalov takes out Kadi, looking very slick in the process. And, as GGCD called, Emami took out a very sloppy and done looking Chamizo.
Dake into the semis, will face Takatani who teched Tsabalov and has looked damn good. Kayla Miracle looked the best I’ve seen her but lost a heartbreaker to Tynybekova
And some more insanely shady reviews by UWW… Zhamalov somehow given a caution and 1 on review with less than 5 seconds left to “win” against Valiev. Ridiculous, and given it was another “Uzbek” not just a little suspicious
Zain draws Amouzad… if he’s going to medal, he’ll have earned it. Top half hilariously light, Seabass could sneak in again but I think Kiyooka of Japan will be the finalist. Snyder draw is what it is, Azarpira was the only unseeded wrestler worth watching and he’s drawn in with Tazhudinov. Iran did not get a lot of love with their draws
The session starts at 12:15 Eastern, there are 8 matches before his so it should be sometime between 1:15-2 Eastern but can’t be exact
Takatani looked incredible this morning, FanDuel had him as a +800 underdog which was insane. Dake a helluva career but that Olympic gold isn’t meant to be
Geno looks like he's in incredible shape, much leaner than in the past. I wonder if that's indicative of his plan against Zare.
Yeah, he’s got to be able to move to get past Zare, can’t stand and push with him. Would be cool to see him get one but Zare still looks impossible to score on
Sure as fuck are, could be 4-5 golds on the men’s side overall. Seems like the US is going to go without a gold for the first time I can remember barring big upsets tomorrow from Kyle or Zain
No other way to say it, this has been a massively disappointing performance from team USA men's freestyle team. 57kg: Silver 65kg: ? 74kg: Bronze/No medal 86kg: Bronze/No medal 97kg: ? 125kg: No medal Good chance we don't get a medal at 65kg, and 97kg Snyder is a sizable underdog to win gold.
Poor timing for this statement just because I'm thinking about Team USA's performance, not correlating these two at all--but Bill Zadick looks like he's put on over 100 pounds.
He fucking quit training for sure ha, looks like me out there. Spencer ran into someone just a little better, little more experienced but the rest just flat out blew it. Dakes over confidence in his lifts got him again, and Parris wrestled like it was college. Just bad preparation was it looked like
Idk why Brooks didn’t just defend like that yesterday, that brain dead last minute robbed us of a sweet final
Who is Snyder an underdog to? Also, really makes you wonder if Cael and The Room has lost it with this performance
Akhmed Tazhudinov, young kid from “Bahrain” by way of Dagestan. Absolute monster who tossed Snyder around like a child at worlds last year and then beat Sadulaev too(who pretended he had an injury but still).
The Room needs to regroup and maybe restructure. Incredibly disappointing. Maybe we should have kept DT and let Cael walk.
Brutal for Yazdani, could see something pop as soon as the match started. That’s the shoulder he has surgery on last year
What a way to end it for Helen, a true legend who brought women’s wrestling so far forward in the US. Not sure if she’s got another run but still a treat to watch
