Anyone interested in doing it again? The people who stuck it out last year through the post olympic losing streak did very well I believe. As I recall we jumped in midseason when they already had a huge winning % too so if we're going to pull the trigger again it's probably best to jump in from the start.

Re: Wunderdog Hockey 57% over their last 642 plays. Assuming 1 unit = $100 they have you +$17,300 over the course of those plays. I know they have had a good track record with hockey for a while. Sem or D4H might be better able to answer that for you.
Re: Wunderdog Hockey Last year a bunch of us got together and bought the package. I think what we did is had everyone chip in $20 and then I emailed the plays out every day. Since I'm guessing we aren't going to get as many people this year I'd say it might need to be $25-$30. I don't mind having to pay extra if we come up short but I'm not really sure I want to commit until I know at least 5+ people are in for sure. Basically it's an excuse for me to gamble on a sport I know absolutely nothing about and they absolutely tear it up during hockey season.

Re: Wunderdog Hockey Looked into Dr. Canada and the only website I can find is one from 2008 where it directs you to a new website but that domain has expired. I think I'm going to stick with Wunderdog because based on his 2008 prices I'm guessing his full season package will be more expensive than Wunderdog by several hundred bucks.

If you are interested in getting the plays send me a PM with your email address and I can send you a paypal invoice. I'm going to say $25 because I'm anticipating less people and it's slightly more expensive than last year because we bought the package midseason last year. Once you are paid you'll be put on the email list and I'll send out the plays via email every day just like last year. If the email you want to receive the play is different from the one you want me to send the paypal invoice to please specify that. Also, I want to be clear that this is ONLY for hockey. Last year we did the combo package with college basketball but I didn't really see much point in doing the bball again since Hockey is where the money is at.

Re: Wunderdog Hockey Yeah, it's nothing new though. Even last year when I bought the hockey I noticed that he was bragging about his record in pretty much every sport but college football. Kinda weird that he'd struggle with college and not the NFL but I don't really care. I'm not interested in his input on anything other than hockey anyway.
Re: Wunderdog Hockey My advice to everyone who is in would be to just blindly follow the system. Don't pick and choose which plays you like and which ones you don't. Just play what you're told! Figure out what your bankroll is and set your units accordingly so that you can withstand a cold stretch without going broke and then missing out on the hot streak.

Of course those will also be the people who will subsequently bitch about every loss and complain that they jumped in late and didn't have the benefit of the good start the rest of us had.

Game: Phoenix vs. Boston (12:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on Game Total OVER 5 -115 (risk 2 to win 1.7) The Phoenix Coyotes and Boston Bruins open their NHL season's in Prague in the Czech Republic. The Coyotes made their 1st playoff appearance last season since the '02 season, but they have not made back to back appearances now for over a decade. The trip didn't last long, as they lost to the Red Wings in round one. The Bruins became the first team in NHL history to win the first three games in a playoff series, only to go on and lose the series. Offensive help is on the way for the Bruins with Tyler Seguin a high draft pick a year ago, bringing his 106 points over from the OHL to assist the Bruin offense. The Coyotes finished last year with just one UNDER in their last 10. Totals this low in the early going of the NHL tend to go OVER. I like the OVER here. Game: San Jose vs. Columbus (3:00 PM Eastern) Pick: 2 units on San Jose -165 (moneyline) (risk 2 to win 1.2) The San Jose Sharks are looking to sweep the Columbus Blue Jackets as the teams launch the NHL season in Stockholm Sweden. The Sharks appear to be as strong as ever. Last year they were the king-pin in the NHL Pacific, and certainly look the part of a repeat performance in 2010. The Sharks have made improvements behind the net with the additios of Antti Niemi, and Antero Niittmaki, with the latter likely getting the call behind the net today. Steve Mason has had little success behind the net vs. the Sharks, as he is now just 2-4-1 for his career. His backup Matthew Garon has fared even worse, at 2-6-1 allowing 3.61 goals per game. Columbus is just 11-33 the past couple of seasons when facing a winning team. The Sharks have the butterflies out, and an advantage behind the net, and I like them to win this one.
