Anyone gonna get this game? I loved all Tiger games and will be purchasing. Assuming EA will pick up where they left off and continue to add more realistic difficulties (one of the few EA games that did this from 2010-2013) Look forward to starting a TMB Country Club again
Im liking it so far, but I was always pretty gay for the tiger games. I have been playing the trial from ea access for the last week, but I dont remember seeing the country club on there this time.
Reviews very meh. Say gameplay is solid but missing a lot of lasting appeal. Basically its NHL 15 in golf form.
Real step down from previous imo. I really liked 13, but didn't play 14. Should have read reviews before I bought it. -It's super lame that you can't increase your stats the way you want anymore in career mode. You just play and then when you rank up it gives you points on random attributes. Thanks, but I don't want to put points in recovery- much rather have ball striking. -In tournaments, you now have to play 4 rounds in career mode. You can either play 18 holes 4 times, or play "quick rounds" where you play about 5 random holes, then the round is over. You then might get 1 or 2 different holes the next round. You can't just play one round of all 18 anymore. -Shots have so much less intuition/thinking now. The wind is never a factor, nor the elevation of the green you're hitting to, because of a line track that tells you exactly where the ball is going to go. -Instead of guessing the line and then seeing how good your guess was, then adjusting accordingly on putts, it just gives you the line at all times and you try to line it up exactly like it. Don't buy
Top 2 bullets are stupid. Can't you turn the bottom 2 off? Pretty sure there is a modern where you can't even zoom forward on shots you just have to eyeball it like you're actually on the course.
Yeah, you can, but I hate that too. Unless you've played the course a lot you have no idea where your ball's going to end up. Sometimes if it doglegs left or right your ball might go through the whole fairway if you hit a full drive- or you could be at a horrible angle on your second shot because you have no idea where the hole is. Should have made some middle ground.
You can customize all the shot stuff. You can go in and have everything from the pro mode but have the ability to zoom in still.
Thanks for the heads up Also, I don't know why this bothers me so much, but whenever you make a birdie, your golfer does these fucking awful dance animations like he just won the lottery
Also it appears that random wind gusts is an option and it starts off. It is under settings, gameplay options, then go new custom. And yes the celebrations are very dumb.
Celebrations are dumb. Lack of game features is dumb. That said, it's just like NHL. It looks pretty and it plays solid, so since I don't play video games much anymore that's all I need. Just add courses and I'll be content for this year.
I posted an article in the xb1 thread, but this game will not be a yearly release so they plan on release more golfers and courses over time. they are supposed to put out a few more courses shortly after release as free dlc.
My biggest gripe is that the woods, hybrids, irons all sound the same. The last few have had distinct sounds.
Plenty of chatter in the XB1 thread about this as a number of us have EA Access and played our 10 hours of free trial. Consensus was fun but not a buy. Better to wait for it to hit the vault on EA Access. bic and his friend cancelled their preorder after playing the trial
Was just playing in the open championship in career. 30 foot putt for eagle. Waited 30 seconds for the game to read the line. "Putt read not found."
