Who in this coaching staff keeps telling them to hit the ball at the opposing players? Complete dumb ass imo.
The radio said something crazy like “we have the 5th best starter ERA in the majors, lead the AL in hard hit rate, have the 5th lowest SO rate,” and we’re soon to be 1-5. How bad will their record be when they start playing shitty?
Throw my hands in the air because that’s the third easy outfield assist we’ve fucked up this year. Then I realize it’s because we have a 1B in LF, no wonder his arm is shit.
Looking at some of these hitting numbers is wild. Bobby is hitting .095 with a 95.6(!) mph exit velo and 53% HardHit %. This would have put him #2 in Exit Velo and #6 in HardHit% in the league in 2022. Massey is .125 with a 54.5% HardHit%. Pasquatch is hitting .118 with a 50% HardHit%. Things are about to turn around in a big way... just in time for the pitching to tank and come back to Earth. So instead of losing 3-0 and 3-1 we will be losing 8-5 and 9-6.
A couple of years ago I was optimistic that this year or next year we could be competitive (.500 or better) but with how every pitching prospect has flamed or not developed I don't see any hope in sight.
I’m all about matchups and analytics but Q seems to be managing this lineup like my 3rd graders team. Every player gets at least one start and one game on the bench every 3 games. Bob/MJ/Vinnie/Massey are supposed to be foundational pieces, they shouldn’t be on the bench multiple times a week. How does playing Dozier at first help this team at all?
Salvy and Vinnie clearing the fence and a win. Hopefully this is start of the offence kicking into gear.
Quick wiki dive to see where this shitty pitcher came from and I learned Taylor Clarke is married to Taylor Clarke and they have a set of twins that I’m assuming are named Taylor Clarke.
I feel like it's always like some rookie who tops out at 93 mph throwing junk that gives us problems more than ace-level pitchers.
Down 3+ mph, spin rate has fallen off a cliff, can’t locate. He’s done. My guess is they wait till they get back to KC and Staumont gets his spot.
4 walks in an inning Jesus. Dayton is an assistant for Texas, at the very least make Coleman throw a fastball into a suite up there before pulling him
