You guys gotta break that up. Verlander has been in the shitter from the day he started in with Upton.
Dayton better be working those phones finding at least 2 decent pitchers for the rotation or were fucked. The early season slow start by the starting staff has turned into a trend.
Whole rotation has questions: Ventura: sophomore slump, has the league adjusted? Duffy: command/mental issues, will he pitch ok without shields mentoring? Volquez: pitchers and blisters always freak me out Vargas: injury. Who knows what it could lead to. Guts: just seems to flat out suck, may be washed up. Young: won't be able to give us more than 120-130 IP
Our pen is so fucked right now. Need a blow out tomorrow one way or the other to rest those arms. No excuse for losing this game tonight when we were up after 7. This one stings. Also we get guts vs Sanchez tomorrow. Need to figure out something cause a sweep will not be pretty.
Did not expect to win a bullpen game against KC, but then I did not expect to lose a 4 run lead behind Price. I'll take it.
Taking a party bus out there on Saturday for my birthday. Likely won't watch/remember a single pitch.
awesome. need to do that one of these years. i'm curious if buses charge a premium Royals/Chiefs/Sporting games
I'm very worried about the rotation. Ventura/Duffy both have major command issues. Duffy in particular needs to take a couple mph off the heater and hit a spot rather than rear back and fire 95-96. His .313 BAA is pretty awful. Also worried about Vargas' injury. They say no damage to the UCL but forearm strains are usually a precursor to TJ. Let's hope this isn't. He's nothing special but we really need him. J Guts is J Guts, a 4.70 ERA, 1.45 WHIP pitcher that will get lit up one start, then go 7 IP, 2 ER, 9 H in his next start. Would I prefer he wasn't in the rotation? Yes. Is he gonna kill us? Probably not. Anybody else noticed he has lost like 3-4 mph on his fastball this year? Volquez has been a nice surprise. His stuff is better than I realized. Young was a nice insurance signing that we are cashing in on. I don't know what we can expect from Medlen but I never want to get too excited about a pitcher coming off 2 TJ surgeries. The cupboard is bare in the minor leagues with no ML-ready arms. If our rotation doesn't improve in the next month or so we will certainly have to make a trade, or two. The fact that we are still in first place while the rotation has been god awful just goes to show how amazing the 'pen is and how much better the hitting has been this season. 2 out RBI's and situational hitting has been outstanding.
just realized i should have gone with instead of the other tiny black man because the size difference is a little daunting
Kauffman looking fly as fuck. Love these Monarchs jerseys. Also as always fuck the Yankees and their we're too good to wear a throwback jersey bullshit.
Well, if infantes turning a corner and we get Rios back in pre-injury form holy cow will we have a stew going. Also nice that the rotations been about 50/50 over that past couple weeks, a bit of an improvement.
I actually wanted to go but don't own one of those old fashioned outfits. I felt like I would be the 1 guy out of 30k in jorts. (I don't actually wear jorts) Spoiler or do I?
wow. i want to say that's hard to believe but the only royals i have ever known are the loser royals, so i guess that makes sense.
He had good command of his fastball, which also had more movement last night than it has pretty much all year. Being able to pitch off that fastball makes things much easier for him.
Every damn time Ryan goes on about a streak or a soon to be broken record we fuck it up. He's such a troll with it too.
