Is Bellator talk allowed in here? I honestly don't watch MMA, but my brother's roommate is in the main event tonight on Bellator 159 - Joe Taimanglo. excited to watch him fight
Yea we always talk Bellator. Side note: seems like the Bellator production value has really gotten much better over the last year
MacKenzie Dern, regarded as the top female BJJ practicioner in the world, won her pro debut tonight in Legacy.
fox rolled year old footage from a show rogan did goldy did about 30 seconds of history on the theater and hyped up rogan for performing at such a historic theater last night rogan's like that's great and all but I didn't play there last night, fox needs to do more research that was a year ago
Guilherme Cruz @guicruzzz BTW, Edson Barboza told me a few weeks ago that he won't fight his teammate Eddie Alvarez even if the UFC belt is on the line. As history has shown, opportunities for the belt can come and go quickly. Unless you're Uriah Faber. But Edson better take his shot, if he gets the opportunity. He'll regret it the rest of his life if he does not do it.
Perfect storm....she stays back and has descent take down defense. She took advantage of Rousey who never really had a strategy, just used to go full on attack and winning right away. Good matchup to take out Rousey. But you are right, she is only average. Really unimpressed with her
I think the real reason I am not a Holm fan is not only is she average, but she generally is a pretty boring fighter too. Only reason Rousey fight was not boring was because Rousey kept charging her
I'm guessing Holly may be more opening to collecting a pay day with a Cyborg fight to get her name back as a top tier fighter, rather than ducking her.
The guys I was watching with were really up in arms about the decision to stop the Ngannou fight. They all seemed to think the Serb was ok and could have kept going. Personally I think they did him a favor. It amazes me that those two guys are in the same weight division.
Holly was underwhelming in her 2 pre-Ronda fights but there was no one else to fight Ronda at the time, so she gets the title fight. Ronda and her god awful coach have one of the worst game plans of all time and resulted in the perfect storm for Holly.
I remember listening to an episode of the Joe Rogan podcast while Ronda was still riding high (I think when she had just beaten Correia). Ronda and her coach were the guests and the coach spent the whole time talking about how his main focus during the Correia fight had been talking shit to Correia's brother on instagram. The second she beat Correia, instead of celebrating with her, he ran over and got in the dude's face to talk shit. The whole thing struck me as incredibly unprofessional and left me with the impression that he needed Ronda a lot more than she needed him.
Where do you find the links? I remember something about posting a link into AceStream, but I don't know where to find those links
