Well seeing as how a number of players have come back to MLS I'd say they don't listen to Jurgen. Nor should any other player base their career decisions on their national team manager's opinion.
It would also be nice if he payed attention to guys who are playing well in the MLS. Like maybe a guy who might be MVP this year, for example.
Whats most damning to me is that JK threw him under the bus at half instead of admitting his own mistake
Jurgen Rodgers. Makes in explicable roster decisions, talks mad shit in the media, throws players under the bus, holds grudges, never admits mistakes....
Interdasting Paul Carr @PCarrESPN 32m32 minutes ago In competitive (non-friendly) games: Klinsmann .734, Bradley .677, Arena .674 Spoiler Paul Carr blow your mind. Say Paul Carr blow your mind
Bradley picked up 3 Ls in 2007 Copa America with a B Squad and a lot of the Gold Cups back in the late 90s and early 00s had stronger non-CONCACAF sides in them during Arenas tenure, which made it harder to win. Much easier to pick-up W versus L when all non-WC competitive matches are against CONCACAF. Plus Arena was basically coaching in the first decade of American soccer, so not surprised that his W-L is worse than a coach now. Just one of those statistics that doesn't tell the entire story.
Thought the same thing, especially regarding Arenas. He was basically year 1 for American soccer, Bradley and Klinnsman took over during periods of much more prosperity.
Merritt Paulson @MerrittPaulson Congrats to @darlingtonnagbe on officially becoming a United States citizen today.
Read a stat that Alan Gordon is the only MLS player to have gotten his first career cap (in the JK era) that didn't happen at the annual January camp. He pretty much refuses to give MLSers a first look Feb-Dec.
Wow though with the criticisms he's had I guess it isn't shocking he isn't that impressed by what guys do during the season and wants to judge them in person in camp If Finley doesn't go to camp in January I might turn on Jurgen
Andrew Downie @adowniebrazil 16m16 minutes ago The @CONMEBOL_CSF confirms that 2016 Copa Centenario will be held in the USA: http://uk.reuters.com/article/2015/09/11/uk-soccer-copa-idUKKCN0RB20M20150911…
Nagbe more technical and much better dribbler. Probably best dribbler that is American in MLS. Finley more straight ahead point a to point b player. Finley is a right winger. Nagbe can play inside or outside and on both wings. Finley better finisher. Nagbe probably better upside. Both should get a look along with Lleget in Jan/Feb camp.
Yeah the only thing I had to go off of is the few times I've seen him and looking at his stats on whoscored and they are both pretty close on rating. Finlay has more goals and assists but Nagbe has a better rating but they're close. Sounds like Nagbe will be a nice addition and I agree I hope to see them both called in for camp if not sooner. I've also thought it was clear Nyugen was deserving of more of a look and that isn't happening either. Obviously Benny does as well but Nagbe and Finlay are younger if age is the excuse for not giving the other 2 a shot
Don't get me wrong, fuck Lee Nguyen, fuck Jermaine Jones and the rest of the Revs. But we need a real 10 out there

"I will definitely tell the players once they come into camp. 'Whoever is over 30 here, this might be your last final representing your country,'" Klinsmann said. "I'm not saying they're not good enough anymore -- this will obviously be our best team -- just that they're not getting any younger, and younger players are pushing through. So I want them to understand and grab this unique opportunity. "They have to look at it like if they don't win this game, there might not be another."

Sorry I thought that was probably some low usl side as in Birmingham Alabama. I definitely have not kept up with Jonathan Spector. And I've only been following EPL closely since nbc got the rights and expanded coverage. Never heard of Birmingham city.
