Don't like Brellabox... You have to charge enough to actually make some money, but not so much that someone wouldn't say fuck it I'd be better off buying an umbrella. Then you have to hope it rains or you could go months without $1 of revenue. I came to this conclusion of 10 seconds on their site so I could be very very wrong
Didn't see a price, my line of thinking is its a very fine line to balance on- if you charge to little you'll never make any money, to much and I'd be better off just buying an umbrella and convincing myself I wouldn't forget it next time.
Was my thought, I haven't bought an umbrella in a while- just take promo ones from work, but I think they're under $10 for a cheap one?
For sure under $10. The street vendors sell them for like $3-5. I mean they arent good quality but they are good enough for the single session.
Ha....Cuban with the power move at the end of Shark Tank tonight. O'Leary and Robert were getting all stingy over 2.5%. Cuban was out right away during the presentation but then just said fuck it and said he would do 25% for $300K. You could tell Robert was pissed that Cuban got him again. Love it.
Just watched this morning. That was great. Those Dude Wipes guy advertise on a lot of podcasts I listen to. That's as angry as Ive seen Robert. Pretty funny. Also, Did I miss the umbrella thing, or has it not been on yet?
I don't think I've ever seen anyone come into the Tank and more successfully negoiate a deal better than those XCraft drone guys. Props to them. I'll bet that their drones sell like crazy. That phone drone concept for $300 retail seems genius.
At first I thought they were gonna blow it with their $10 million evaluation after everyone was interested
I think they came in with a low valuation on purpose because they wanted to get all the Sharks on board. They played it perfectly.
Have to admit, I liked the rent like a champion from this last episode. Being able to rent a house within walking distance to a game would make me much more likely to go on road trips.
Yeah, if I was that dude I would license the hell out of that technology and just go on endless vacations while checks roll into my account
Yeah but airbnb dont give a fuck about a shitty little town They're more interested in the big cities or the Austins of the world
not exactly. different focus (rent like a champion focused on event based places (south bend, state college, a nascar race or golf tournament that happens yearly where airbnb is chicago, sf, la, ny), different demographics (airbnb is 30's, young professional, rent like a champion skews older).
Wut...there are some products that are by far best for her and she has definitely killed it for some people.
This is a bad opinion. Lori is a good shark, I do however think less of the people who choose their shark based on wanting to work with Lori or Barbra because they are female. Looking at you STEM girls.
I don't think that was why. It was because she was willing to have a lower equity than Sacco. It was just a poor choice by them
yeah but I feel like she does the same shit for all of them. QVC then get them into some Bed, Bath, and Beyond shit tier store. Rinse and repeat.
You're not going to be the coolest entrepreneur but you'll make boat loads of cash and I'm cool with that.
Little late to the party, but if you understand how (real) venture capital investing works and the reality of his investments, it's not that impressive.
If you have an high volume / consumable product- you want Lorie Barbara seems to do well with the food businesses ( I hate them on Shark Tank. I think they're boring AF) Clothing - Damon Tech - Robert and Cuban Lori also has the most successful Shark Tank business - Scrub Daddy.
Sock Tab seems pretty meh as a product but that lady seems like a great sales person and will get it figured out. One of the cooler endings I've ever seen on the show.
Disagree. She got the deal because of her sob story ( which really was sad) but a terrible reason to do business. I dont understand why they felt she was such a good sales person. To me she came of extremely desperate, and usally they call people out on that. Hope everything works out for her though.
I kind of wondered why they really needed that anyway. I mean he's a Dr. and she's evidently a very successful pharma sales rep. You'd think they could probably spare $50K. I guess they could have already put plenty of $$ into it, idk.
Barbera is the WORST That camera app kevin sold to shutterfly i think made the most on their return at 10 or 12x cash
Watching Friday's ep vs work. Im fucking dying at this handbag lady. She fucking stole that business model right out of Happy Gilmore
