Could be Dany, Margaery, Sansa, or someone else we haven't met. I'm just happy that Cersei is going to die.
Just finished this book. Lots of good shit at the end of the book, especially the Cersei being imprisoned and Jamie essentially telling her to fuck off. Also, I can't wait to see the three groups (so far) going to find Dany in Slavers Bay.
didnt read any posts in this thread but came in to say almost done with a feast for crows and I was expecting a much shittier book from what people were saying.... honestly this is my second favorite book, perhaps third. what is wrong with you people.
the jaime and cersei chapters were good. Some of the Brienne chapters were good and some were meh. The Iron Men chapters almost seemed like a diversion from the storylines you really wanted to read about. And the Dornish chapters were just ok and also seemed like a diversion from the stories you really wanted to read about.
yeah made it to page 4 already its actually not as much book 1 and 2 discussion like I thought it would be so I have no problem reading this whole thing
Just finished this book. I think if it didn't follow 3 it might get credit for bring the best or second behind the first book. It wasn't as action packed and didn't have as many crazy twists as book 3 but it laid a lot of ground by way of backstory and tied a loooooot of stuff together. In my mind ppl who say it was completely boring and the worst in the series are knuckle dragging mouth breathers who enjoy Michael Bay movies. Just IMO fwiw iyam imhv
It took a while to get going, but the second half of Feast for Crows was fucking great. The Arya chapters were amazing.
Just finished the book, I've been a bit of the moron. Can someone explain the Tom O'Sevens as a spy piece? I'm not sure what I am missing. What was his role in Riverrun? Don't remember that, or where he was originally picked up. Also, Pate? Didn't he die in the prologue? I'm still curious about who he really is, what he was actually doing in the prologue, things like that.
You are correct, Pate died and this is a fake Pate, some people believe he is a Faceless Man or Jaqen H'ghar posing as Pate.
I just checked out tower of the hand or whatever and it had what I estimate to be spoilers on the front page. I am working through book 5 and would like to not have anything in it spoiled, but would love to read some of the theories that have developed from the events of 1-4.
Are you doing AFFC only or AFFC and ADWD at the same time? I really enjoyed reading them simultaneously the 2nd time around.
Damn. That's a good idea. Didn't even think about that. I lent ADWD to my friend like a year and a half ago and I don't think I have it anymore. I was going to borrow it from another friend but I think he's still reading it for the first time so I'll have to look into that. How did you alternate? Just chapter by chapter?
if you do the e-reader thing, you can get the whole thing already put together http://ballofbeasts.weebly.com
Feast for Crows benefits significantly from a re-read. I found the "boring" Brienne, Iron Born, and Dorne chapters to be much more interesting the second time around after knowing how events unfold in ADWD and how the show has unfolded to this point (to the extent we can extrapolate story-lines). A lot of food for thought in those chapters, and I suspect we will find them to be relevant to the third act of the series.
Currently crawling my way through my first ADWD re-read. Really it's my first read since I read most of it on my phone... which is worse than cancer. May have to work in AFFC along the way.
