very cool to have exactly 0 CBs available as the team enters the most important stretch of the season thus far
not anybody worth playing over Tchouameni/Carvajal/Mendy. They've loaned out or sold a handful of guys over the last year + as they've aged out of the B squad and not broken in to the first team
great half but need 45 more. Vini obviously great but Valverde the unsung hero so far for helping Vazquez take Savio completely out of the match thus far.
Yep…only guy who seemed off was Rodrygo. He had a couple poor touches deep. Hard to complain though as they looked in complete control.
was talking to Chile before the match and mentioned how I would have prefered Brahim on the right side given his form
should let the youngster take it lol jfc Joselu would be leading the Pichichi race if he could convert his penalties and sitters
Absolutely wish they had let one of the younger guys. That didn’t make sense to me in that situation.
Seniority and respect. Plus (in theory) a bit of a confidence boost for a guy thats much more likely to be called on in an important moment rather than a youngster or guy that only sees a few minutes here and there.
still dont know what the call was, guessing the slight shove in the back on Lunin, but they got lucky there incredibly weak so far
Has Lunin played himself out of Madrid? Guy has been outstanding just about every time he’s out there and is too good to only get a handful of cup matches each year. He just turned 25 a couple of days ago and definitely seems ready to be the #1 somewhere.
Wouldnt be surprised if he decides to move on this summer and think he's earned that right. I wonder if that'd be another situation where Perez is willing to take a lower fee in order to maintain a buyback or RoFR clause moving forward. Theres been a lot of talk about moving on from Mendy and that the club really wants Davies but they've got a 3 year buy back option on Miguel Gutierrez as well which seems like it will almost certainly be activated at some point even if its just to immediately flip him
bro this is like year 6 of this shit only thing remotely close I can compare it to is Lebron leaving Cleveland for Miami, but bigger. So you need the jersey when it releases.
Pretty bad half. Other than those early counters they didn't really produce anything of substance and absolutely nothing at all down the right side. Wouldnt be surprised if he brought on Kroos and Rodrygo to try and stretch the game a bit.
