Still can’t believe that happened. Thought for sure they were done after City leveled and while I didn’t love the gameplan or execution on the counter they defended like madman and dug deep when they needed.

Rudiger once again stepped up and played his fucking ass off. Just owns Haaland at this point.

Lunin was so good today too. Withstood wave after wave of pressure, was strong off his line and in the air and stayed composed with the ball at his feet. Not to mention the two huge PK saves. Dude has had a ridiculous season and so deserves the raise/extension he’s got coming.

 

Absurd. Love him or hate him, Perez has provided an unprecedented period of stability.

Not a fan of the starting CI. I hope he comes out and delivers a masterclass but I just don’t like playing Luka and Toni together anymore. Mendy has been terrific lately but if he is too tired or not fit enough to go I’d rather see Fran at LB so Camavinga can stay in the midfield.

winning Sunday was so huge because it allows Carlo to rotate just about everybody and keep the starters fresh for Tuesday. Also Militao getting legit minutes today is a good sign that he might be healthy enough to start and maybe go 60ish minutes in Munich. Excited to see what Arda can do today too.

I really wasnt expecting them to get anything but the reserve squad came through. And more importantly Militao went the full 90 and everyone made it out healthy.
