They were always going to do this. And our government knew it and only has started to give a fuck because it's horrific PR for them. They never cared and would be perfectly fine with Israel murdering every Palastinian man, woman, and child
ironically, the only people impacted by this are federalist society dweebs that would otherwise have an opportunity to burnish their credentials before getting a job
Which James Bond/Mission Impossible movie was this again? Where the secret identities of all undercover spies are hacked and have to be retrieved?
MI 1 had the NOC list get stolen by Ethan and his team. MI2 was the virus Chimera. MI3 was the rabbit foot MI4 was the suitcase nuke MI5 was the syndicate MI6 was syndicate continued with dreamy Superman, aka John Lark MI7 pt1 was AI
Skyfall, but the villan released the names and got some of the spies killed so Bond had to hunt him down. He also bombed the MI6 build via hacking
Yes, that was the 007 equivalent I was looking for. Nice work, team. Starting my annual rewatch of both series now (holding off on MI7 until pt 2 comes out).
Supposedly Soviet refugees the biggest explainer for the youth swing right But yikes at the long term outlook here
Propaganda works, I fully expect Florida to start churning out some of the most blood thirsty fascists that will make folks like Desantis/Rick Scott look reasonable in comparison after the horrible shit they've done to education
Congratulations, you are now officially my MI guy. It's an unpaid position but vital to the organization.
Brandon is really losing me with his unabashed support of Israel. it's not going to affect my vote, but I worry about how many people it will.
Don't worry everyone, the protestors at UNC Asheville are demanding that their faculty come up with a workable plan for a cease fire. It should all be over soon.
lmao, protests explicitly calling for universities to divest isn't going to keep Israel from massacring thousands of civilians. CHECKMATE LEFTIES I AM SMART
I didn't say anything about divesting. That would be a demand that would actually make sense and might have some material impact. I do not expect Hamas and Israel to consider coming to the table for a ceasefire due to the words of UNC Ashevilles faculty, however.
Bitching about kids protesting on college campuses, the point of which is for their universities to divest, by tying it to some dipshit's ask of faculty members on another thing really shows me how serious you treat this movement. If anything this protest movement across the US and the UK shows how organized its become by the majority of protestors deferring all questions to a spokesperson and properly recognizing media and people like you just want to disingenuously tie them up in some sort of gotcha to act like they're not really serious.
Oh man I'm so sorry, I didn't realize you were the person who wrote the demands for UNC Asheville. I didn't realize the protest that your organized was entirely focused on divesting. I just thought you were maybe a rando on a sports message board projecting your own desires onto another group. My bad, carry on!
You're the knuckledragger that dropped in to post one of the most stupid things I've read in the past month to either a) try to discredit the protest movement or b) show how much smarter you are than college kids at a UNC satellite campus.
I've been pretty active in this thread over the years. I can't be here every day, but I stop by when I have time. There are aspects of these protests that are effective, and there are things that are not. Calling out the silly stuff is just as important as acknowledging the good. Expecting a rando small town school that's not exactly known for academic rigor to move the needle on a ceasefire is silly. It should not have been included on their list of demands.
Don't let the protests distract you from the fact that this administration has done almost nothing to stop one of our closest allies from killing tens of thousands of captive Palestinian men women and children.
So I'm a blood thirsty fascist because I don't expect professors at UNC Asheville to solve the middle east crisis. Got it.
If you’re too busy to participate in this thread, we understand. Don’t feel like you need to make time for it. You have more important things to do.
Y'all are so great at winning over hearts and minds. I was responding to CaneKnight above. It didn't quote his post properly.
Hand waving genocide/ethnic cleansing and criticizing protesters for rightfully trying to do something to stop our government from helping isreal murder thousands of Palestinian men and women is quite literally fascist activity. You come in here attack a bunch of kids who are morally correct in their stance and actions without any critical words for the adults that are doing genocide and ethnic cleansing and you expect people to take you seriously in any capacity? You expect someone to not think you’re a fascist????
I have literally seen nothing about this and I'm on Twitter a lot and see so much coverage of the protests from both lefties and insane MAGA dipshits. What you're coming in here to do about something so insignificant is absolutely trying to discredit a broader protest movement. Edit: The ceasefire thing you're citing is the FOURTH point in their list of demands, hardly the only thing they're asking for and certainly the first three make absolute sense Divestment of the UNC system from Israel Transparency in funding Cut ties with any Israeli universities and foster relationships with universities in Gaza Demands for the administration to create a ceasefire resolution
You came in here with some glib Facebook boomer take about college kids not being about to solve middle east peace you loser
I would think the definition of a fascist is some who believes in far right authoritarianism, not someone who thinks its a distraction and counter productive to makes untenable demands on small town college staff. So, no. I don't think people would conclude that I'm a fascist.
He came in with a bad faith argument just like every other Zionist piece of shit roaming the face of this earth. He doesn’t care what they’re actually asking for. He’s telling us that he thinks all of those things are fine without saying it. We should acknowledge that ignore him and move on. Hes not here for critical thought or real education
I think it’s important that we acknowledge the students are adults, albeit young adults rather than kids. People want to call them kids to disregard their opinions. They’re adults. They’re citizens. And their first amendment rights are being violated. Also, people disregarding their opinions because they don’t have the ‘appropriate’ academic credentials is a bad thing
Going to be interesting, saw an Israeli reporter saying the Rafah operation so far has been face saving for Israel and quite limited in scope.
I think 1 and 2 are strong. 3, I don't know enough about. 4 is completely silly and worth making fun of.
