Per the best source on our team board, MSU has Cassius Winston locked up - and it'll be done by the end of sept. He's visiting the same weekend as miles bridges & Josh Jackson. No expectation that we get Jackson, but getting Winston in the fold should help with Bridges.
I never said that at all. Maybe you need to reread, and if you're still having problems, I'll help you.
Paul Biancardi @PaulBiancardi News: Edrice"Bam"Adebayo will be transferring to High Point Christian academy for his senior year. His guardian Eric Peartree told ESPN.
Haven't seen anything on him yet. Our 2017 class, barring attrition or early graduation, is only one player. We likely end up at 2 or 3 due to transfer or Austin Nichols declaring for the draft, but as of now UVA is focused on Porter and Matt Coleman. A lot can change by then though.
The Pearl has arrive at Auburn. Twitter reporting Auburn has landed 5* SG.out of NY http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Mustapha-Heron-144972
This makes me mad because he was supposed to be visiting Bama again but it also makes me mad because my Mississippi State buddy was arrogantly cocky about him being a lock to them
that kid may have had the weirdest top 6 list for a 5-star player that I've ever seen: SMU, Mississippi State, Auburn, Alabama, St. John's, and Maryland
This interesting and concerning, Beilein has put pretty much put all of his eggs in the winston basket. UM bball insiders, who are generally terrible, think UM is pulling away and Winston unofficially visited michigan again yesterday.
I'm shocked the guy who goes to the school spelled 15 year old in text language is having NCAA issues. Elev8 Academy is known for their proud academics.
http://www.phenomhoopreport.com/2017virginiarankings There's an '18 kid who is top 25 from VA that Wake just offered. His bro is a freshman at Georgetown. Kid is the real deal and it will be a battle. Keldon Johnson
He plays for Mo Williams Academy so I feel like we have all the in-roads to keep him with us. He's already recruiting Tony Bradley on social media Shiggityshwo TobiasFunke-Analrapist . Avery was talking about Bradley a ton on Ferguson's periscope vids during his visit. I doubt we'll be able to get him but damn it feels cool to be able to talk about basketball recruiting again
from what I've seen, Bradley's pretty much the only guy we feel good about, which really means nothing nowadays
I think I saw some consider him a UVA lean because Ralph Sampson is his cousin or some shit but I could be just making that up
Landing Ferguson is huge for us. But landing someone like Bradley or Boldin inside would be even bigger. Gotta have solid post play to win close games or close them out. Id love Blackwell as well but I don't know if we could get in with him. I do know we've made his final 6 so that's something.
Went to Oak Hill so he could up his competition level. Seems to be pretty set on the schools he is considering. I haven't heard an update on him since he announced he was going to Oak Hill though. He is stupid good, capable of playing multiple spots on the floor
Texas would be my guess for Blackwell. His previous HS coach and Shaka are really really close friends I couldn't see him handling the workload at UVA
UVA apparently still considers Blackwell a Vandy lean. There are rumors the family might be moving to Harrisonburg, VA (Sampson's hometown) though. An insider on our board has teased a surprise commitment in the next couple weeks and folks are hoping it could be him.

@PaulBiancardi: Breaking News: Espn 100 Sacha -Killeya -Jones tells ESPN that he has committed to Kentucky. His quotes & analysis coming to @ESPNRNHoops
Very happy to see he's headed to Kentucky. I really didn't want to have to see his stupid face* at UNC. *Said stupid face is welcome as a transfer once he is recruited over at Kentucky.
Fultz visiting NC State next week possibly. Word is Dennis Smith is recruiting him hard to come to Raleigh.
Jerry Meyer did a Q&A on Bama's board earlier. Here's what he said about Tony Bradley who he CB'ed to Bama last night "Tony Bradley is a guy to keep an eye on. He and Ferguson have developed a relationship and Bradley's father played for Bama assistant coach Scott Pospichal in college." "Have received some reliable intel that UNC isn't strong w Tony Bradley like a lot of people think. Hearing Florida, dad is a fan, and Miami are strong. Alabama right in there as well. So more than anything, I'm getting off of UNC. Secondly, I like Alabama's odds w the other schools but there is work to be done for whoever is gonna get him."
Very possible due to the potential angle, but his DraftExpress evaluation is something I keep thinking about, and mirrors things I've heard from other scouts: Spoiler Strengths: -Great physical profile. Good frame that will continue to fill out in time. Long arms (7-2 wingspan, 9-1 standing reach). Big hands. -Terrific size for a power forward at 6-9 ½ without shoes. -Bouncy athlete. Can play above the rim with relative ease. Moves like a wing. Outstanding body control for his size. -Versatile scorer – 25.2 points per 40 minutes pace adjusted. Natural touch. Very good in face up situations. Uses spin moves. Can make turnarounds from the mid post. Able to straight-line attack from the perimeter. Solid handle for his size. -Nice touch from three. Made 4-of-8 3-pointers and 68% of his free throws. Good mechanically. Gets very good arc on his shot. Not a finished product as a shooter but shows potential. -Has the tools to be a solid defender and rebounder. -Just turned 17 years old two days ago. Weaknesses: -Doesn't have a great feel for the game. Can be a bit of a black hole. Had only six assists compared with 25 turnovers in 10 games on the adidas circuit. Spins into double teams. Poor understanding of where the help defense is. -Disinterested on the defensive end. Has the tools and mobility but stands around a bit too often. Motor comes and goes on that end. Reaction time and awareness is average as well. -Posted just .7 steals and 1.5 blocks per-40 minutes at adidas events this summer, which is very poor considering his physical tools and the level of competition. Partially a product of his lack of awareness, and partially due to lack of intensity? -Not much of a rebounder at this stage – 8 boards per 40 minutes pace adjusted. Can be tougher on the defensive glass and show more fight on the offensive glass. -Very good frame but still has some room to get stronger and tougher. Only 202 pounds at the moment From DraftExpress.comhttp://www.draftexpress.com/#ixzz3jHw7HDqY http://www.draftexpress.com http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Sacha-Killeya-Jones-90229/
I don't know. For what we run and for his calibre I wouldn't think so. But we keep getting listed and the staff feels like they are at least in it. LJ Peak must have planted a bug in his ear.
How is Peak progressing? I admit I don't really follow college recruiting any more, but I do vaguely remembering he was all but committed to SC and pulled some shenanigans on signing day.
