Hearing from someone who would know that singleton is going to be DFA’d in response to the Loperfido move. Was also told to not be surprised if Abreu hits the DL for a month and they give Cabbage and Loperfido a fair shot at 1B. And if Abreu doesn’t hit DL then he could just be DFA’d, too. Personally, I wonder if they’re hoping that singleton will clear waivers and accept a spot back in sugar land, but I also thought that maybe kessinger would just be sent down instead (yet that’s not what I was told just now).
I would be pretty surprised if someone claims singleton. And if they do and put him on their mlb roster then good luck to him
was also told that Abreu just keeps saying he's "tired" but some now coming around to the likelihood that he’s closer to 48 than 38
Everyone raves about what a good dude Abreu is so I’m sure it’s killing him. Hopefully his Scrooge Mcduck vault provides som e stress relief through these tough times.
