I completely forgot how ridiculous this entire thing was https://www.dallasnews.com/news/201...collapse-of-deion-sanders-prime-prep-academy/ I can’t wait to see the OTHER side of the story later
To be fair to Vegas, they'd never seen roster turnover like that before and the two best players were moving up from HBCU.
In the ~16% chance that they do hit 8+ wins this guy is going to be so insufferable though. He's going to do maybe two fist pumps and maybe high five someone before reminding himself he shouldn't be celebrating withIsrael/Hamas and climate change happening
Sure, they had it at 3.5, but they also had TCU favored over CU by 21, and Nebraska favored by a TD a week later.
Forgot about this one, one of the all time collapses. Amazing number of coaching malpractices last season.
Obviously that one and Miami/GT get all the headlines but I've never been in awe of a collapse more than Boise State losing to Colorado State last year at like 3am ET some Saturday night. I loved it so much that I stayed up to listen to the local Boise call-in radio show to listen to the meltdowns Obviously the Miami one is the most egregious, it's a literally 100% win expectancy when rounded to 5 decimal places, but Boise/CSU was art
Yeah. That one was real bad. Let's just keep putting Hunter on their best guy despite the fact he's clearly gassed and getting out muscled every defensive rep.
The Subspace Mariner you honestly have nothing to worry about with those bet terms. devine won’t show up whenever you visit anyways RockHardJawn39
As a CU fan that knows nothing about CU football…I approve of everything happening itt. This season will be another entertaining one.
I still think a lot of people (especially FSU fans) are being exceptionally weird about Deion, but holy shit at thinking Colorado will win 8 games this year. I’m still measuring him against the 1-11 year and progress from a dead program. I don’t think they’re anywhere near an actual decent team.
I don’t know anything about the prime academy stuff or any other off the field stuff other than who Deion is in the media. My main point of wanting to see him succeed was solely how weird the FSU fanbase and others have been about him. And yes, 8 games as an expectation and a top 20 talented team is bananas delusional.
Why is it weird to dislike an egotistical, prosperity gospel spewing chode who shit on his players from day 1 and created a sham "academy" that ended in fraud and fucked over a bunch of underprivileged kids? I'd say it's weird to white knight for that guy, not shit on him
the FSU weirdness seemed to stem much more so from a position of spite iirc. Then the Travis Hunter recruitment, etc and it made me want him to succeed from afar just seeing how nuts it made you guys. Nothing personal, the tenant of college football posting is reveling in others mad.
The ideas that people have created in their minds about our fanbase generally is so funny to me. What in the world would anyone have to spite deion sanders for? Outside of one spring game visit, he hasn't been associated with the program since he was a player. And the hunter thing was just throwing another corpse on a pile of dead bodies with where the program was. I didn't see any outrage towards anyone, including the daily acl tear prayer we see from bama fans every time someone leaves.
Iirc the fanbase was furious at him and hoped for his failure at every stop, especially after he claimed to not be a Nole. I seemed to remember other incidences but I did find this article. https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story...-should-florida-state-disown-him/70718277007/ acting like it’s not a thing is what’s funny to me.
You're conflating deion's spite towards fsu for not taking him seriously as a coach with the general fanbase's feelings towards him. Obviously not saying there aren't pockets of weirdos out there, but his disassociation with the program did not happen in 2019 or 2020.
Apparently people who have had to deal with him warning people Deion was a terrible human and not a real coach and being proven absolutely true means the people calling him out are weird. Interesting take.
For everyone saying how much Sanders sucks as a person, I think we all get that part. But everyone kills people, murders people, steals from you, steals from me. Neon Deion is no different.
Imagine having to tell important people you’re busy because you have to fly to devine, WV because coach prime isn’t bowl eligible. The user may have $500, but sure as fuck does not have time blocks in his franklincovey for this.
this seems very reasonable and is on par with my projections as well (all data as of Monday) Spoiler: 2023 Projections as of March 2023
Criticizing players that transferred out of your program is so low class. You'd think a superstar like Deion would get that.
after last season I feel confident in saying 99% of the FSU fanbase's anger towards deion has been redirected to one Kirkland Edward Herbstreit
Lol, oh, it’s that guy? I remember reading those posts, just didn’t connect that it’s the same poster. Seems weird he is so dialed in to recruiting and the daily comings and goings of Colorado for someone who cares so little about the team’s success.
Norvell seems like a good dude, players rave about him and we've had 0 arrests in his 4 years. He might be secretly murdering puppies but what's publicly known seems pretty solid
