And every time the opposing team picks him he gets early free farm, goes Dagon 5 and wrecks shit. Feelsrealbad
I've figured out my major problem. I have no game sense for team fights or ganks. Either initiating or defending. I farm well and very efficiently (much much better than I was even 2-3 months ago by doing nothing but playing carry), I am a more than competent support for stacking, pulling and lane equilibrium, I itemize and skill appropriately. I last hit well. I have no fucking clue about when to initiate with my team, have a terrible sense of when to back mid fight, am awful at checking minimap right before and after fights. I am terrible at predicting incoming ganks or when I should be suspicious of a danger zone and get picked off easily. Which is why Riki is my best hero. I have no idea how to fix this. Other than let my teammates make decisions on team fights for me, which is obviously a bad choice with most idiot teams.
It's truly a great stats website. It has all the dotabuff paid stuff for free, although Dotabuff is a billion times cleaner and easier to navigate.
Blitz made a video about game sense/playing the map about a week ago but took it down before I could watch it : / Obviously it was more in depth than this but the gist of it was apparently: Other team invading your jungle/trying to gank your carry? Go gank their carry/farm their jungle. That's definitely something I need to do better i.e. recognizing earlier that a lane is fucked and I need to go get stuff done elsewhere. (Either as a support or a core)
Yeah someone resubmitted it and I watched it. My problem I guess isn't knowing when we should fight (we are grouped, their carry is free farming/fat, someone got an item and had power spoke like Mirana aghs and we have an advantage)... It's more mechanically, like I sense I should jump in and initiate and suddenly I'm the only one on the side of the river and get jumped by 3. Team is starting to peck at enemies/fighting and I jump in as Sven, only to get stunned and die while rest of team backed. Like I end up dying and no one is around way more often than seems like should be normal
I am projecting crit to sadboys, mostly because I would like to watch that team with crit at the 4 spot
Reddit rumor mill says universe and fear and ppd out, RTZ and Crit in but that literally makes no sense whatsoever.
Nah. Sadboys is going to be last year's EG minus zai plus crit. Then EG is going to be arteezy and zai and if they're smart moo plus a pubstar carry and another support. Akke is available.
I've slowly learned that reddit doesn't know wtf they're talking about. Just a bunch of 16 year olds talking out of their ass.
At this point fear, PPD, Uni, and Sumail have all been rumored to be retiring, taking a break, or coaching.
Also good news: New record for hero damage with 55k Bad news: whenever I push in early game the other team rotates 4 heroes and my teammates don't take advantage and take other towers. So most of that damage was down two sets of racks while up 20 kills. -25 mmr
Love how triggered everyone is because they only announced his retirement and now there's another countdown. Fear deserves his own announcement.
Multiple day announcement is some Banty rooster tier bullshit. Rip fear. Also, they banned 11K hackers from Dota today. Crazy, I have yet to see one in Dota
ive played 4000 games and i've only even encountered a few people that i suspected of maphacking. 1-2 techies scripters during the height of the cancer era 0 insta hex people
Feel like future heroes added to the game could be named or themed for HoF tier players. Or item tributes. Or effigies of likenesses
idk why I haven't been playing wyvern like every game. So good against the heavy physical damage 2k games I'm always in. Plus every game being a coin flip on if you'll get a legion.
What if PPD is out and starting the Sadboys team? Cause I see 6 players and 5 spots. SumaiL, Universe, Zai, Cr1t, RTZ, PPD.
I am also really confused by this as well. Everyone says crit is going with RTZ and Zai but maybe he's in the new liquid? Sumail start a team with his brother?
There's been hints toward PPD and sadboys but I have a hard time seeing him form an entirely new team. Everyone that would be left is pure garbage. I would think he'd take a break or coach before he'd do that.
Just played a game with a CM who jungled for 15 minutes (because LC took mid so he flamed and sat in jung) with a LS who jungled hard top camp in between killing creeps around top tower (giving a PA free farm top). My support, a WD, died 7 times in the first 10 minutes. And yet I get flamed for being a shitty carry. GG
Game before that played against a 4.9k MMR Riki (solo MMR, yet wasn't in a party). Holy crap, there is a huge difference in skill. He literally destroyed our whole team.
Watched rtz and Universe play a 4.5k party mmr game last night. Was like The Golden State Warriors vs. 5 clones of Helen Keller
Wonder if PPD will ever come back or if he's done playing for good. Might be a smart move long term tbh. Only like 24 and has already made 2.5 million dollars. Could be a good time to make a move with more career longevity.
Smart to get into the business side of a major organization now to have a career hopefully for life. Edit - oh shit it's with Twitch too. Probably a smart decision by him. Probably smart for Eg As well, crit is pretty solid if not an upgrade. Can he draft tho?
Yeah, you never know about Dota's shelf life, but twitch isn't going anywhere but up. I wouldn't be surprised if Fear decided to retire shortly after TI and that kind of threw a wrench in EG's plans, which caused all the confusion. Zai/rtz/cr1t are a package deal and were gonna make a team. EG now has to replace Zai and Fear. Zai is probably doable but there were no good carries left other than rtz. EG/twitch offer PPD a sweet gig to make room for Cr1t rather than adding two sub par players to go with Uni/Sumail/PPD.
